Disney locked in the opening date. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets reopens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26, 2026, and the Disney Parks Blog just dropped the full ride walkthrough with a five-track Electric Mayhem setlist, a first-ever Scooter audio-animatronic, and nine celebrity cameos.

“Starting May 26, the legendary ride roars back to life with a rock-charged remix that drops guests straight into the middle of The Electric Mayhem’s biggest night yet,” the Disney Parks Blog wrote.
The queue: G-Force Records
Guests enter through G-Force Records, a recording studio where The Electric Mayhem is rehearsing “Can You Picture That?” before their biggest concert. Penguin audio engineers are trying to rush the band out the door. Disney says the queue also includes the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter.
The vehicle: L.I.M.O.
The super stretch limo gets a rebrand as a L.I.M.O., short for Lengthy Immediate Motion Object. Riders board in an alleyway behind Studio C, and the vehicle is “powered by technology from Muppets Labs” per Disney. Same coaster track, new story wrapper.
The five-track setlist
Every rider gets one of five Electric Mayhem remixes on launch, same rotation style the Aerosmith version ran with for 26 years:
- “Song 2” by The Electric Mayhem
- “Born To Be Wild” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken
- “Love Rollercoaster” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson and Questlove
- “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Def Leppard
- “Walking on Sunshine” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Kelly Clarkson
Disney previewed the first two tracks (“Love Rollercoaster” and “Rock! Rock!”) at a media event earlier this week, and the rest of the setlist is now confirmed.
Nine celebrity cameos
Disney is scattering nine celebrity appearances throughout the experience: Awkwafina, Danny Trejo, Darren Criss, John Stamos, Neil Patrick Harris, Travis Barker, Yvette Nicole Brown, Wayne Brady, and “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Exterior changes
The signature ruby-red guitar marquee out front gets a psychedelic redesign inspired by the classic Muppet car paint job. Disney says the piano motif at the base includes a golden key as a nod to a certain far-out band leader. Disney first teased the guitar repaint back in March.
Previews
Disney says more previews are still coming for cast members, eligible Disney Vacation Club members, and Annual Passholders before the public opening on May 26. If you want one of the earliest looks at the retheme, those preview details are the next milestone to watch.
