Disney just made it official. Hercules, Megara, and Hades are heading to the Fortnite Item Shop on Saturday, March 28 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. The announcement came straight from Disney’s official Instagram account.
The caption is “Bless my soul,” a nod to one of the film’s most iconic songs. Zero to hero, starting today.
What’s in the Fortnite Hercules Bundle
The crossover is based on Disney’s classic 1997 animated film and includes three character skins plus a full set of accessories:
- Hercules – the son of Zeus himself
- Megara (Meg) – the sharpest wit in all of ancient Greece
- Hades – already shaping up to be the standout of the set
Beyond the skins, the bundle also includes three back blings, three pickaxes, two emotes tied to scenes from the film, and one or two Jam Tracks. The confirmed cosmetic names include Herc’s Mantle, Underworld Poison, Muse’s Amphora (back blings), Blooming Cherub, Olympian’s Shield, and Hades’ Staff (pickaxes). The two emotes are called Underworld Anger and Herc’s Feats.
Exact pricing gets confirmed when the items hit the shop, but individual skins are expected to run around 1,500 V-Bucks each. The full bundle typically carries a 40% discount at launch, putting the complete package somewhere in the 3,200 to 4,500 V-Bucks range.
Why Hades Is the One to Watch
Of the three, Hades has the most potential. Leaked in-game models show his signature blue flames, and there’s speculation the skin could include reactive effects that change during matches. If Epic goes that route, he’ll easily be one of the most popular skins this season.
The character design stays true to the film. His dark robes, the flaming blue hair, the smug energy. Fortnite’s aesthetic suits him perfectly.
Megara’s a clean, faithful design. Hercules rounds out the trio with his classic hero armor. But Hades is the reason people are already talking about this one.
Disney’s Fortnite Momentum Keeps Building
This is the latest in a growing list of Disney characters in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2, which already includes The Incredibles, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella De Vil. Disney made a major investment in Epic Games in 2024, and crossovers like this are a direct result of that partnership. They’ve also recently opened up Star Wars tools to creators via UEFN, allowing players to build experiences with official characters and weapons.
Disney is clearly treating Fortnite as a major platform for character IP, not just a one-off collab. The pace of drops has picked up significantly, and the quality of the character designs keeps improving.
For reference, the Disney Villains collection from last Fortnitemares ranged from 1,800 to 2,000 V-Bucks per skin. This one could land in a similar range, possibly slightly higher given the nostalgia factor around Hercules.
How to Get the Skins
Once the Item Shop resets at 5 PM PT on Saturday, March 28, the Disney Hercules section should appear at the top of the shop rotation. New collaborations are always pinned front and center. You can buy the full bundle or individual skins, whichever makes sense for your V-Bucks balance.
This is one you probably won’t want to sleep on. Disney collabs tend to cycle in and out, and character skins from licensed properties can disappear for months before returning.
