D23 is expanding its Ultimate Disney Fan Event footprint again, this time with a new Asia event planned for Singapore in 2027.
The Walt Disney Company announced on May 5, 2026, that D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will take place in Singapore for the first time in 2027. Disney described the event as a major milestone in the expansion of its global fan celebrations across the Asia Pacific region.
D23 Asia is coming to Singapore
Disney says D23 Asia will be a one-of-a-kind fan celebration built around Disney storytelling, creativity, and innovation. The company said the event will bring together fans from across Asia Pacific and beyond, along with stars and storytellers from Hollywood and around the world.
The announcement positions D23 Asia as a regional expansion of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which launched in 2009 through D23: The Official Disney Fan Club. Disney says the Asia event will stay connected to the larger D23 format, including live stage presentations, special announcements, interactive experiences, curated merchandise, and immersive fan moments.

What Disney has confirmed so far
Disney confirmed the location and year, but not the exact dates, venue, ticket prices, or full programming lineup. The company said more details, including ticketing and programming information, will be announced at a later date.
Carol Choi, executive vice president of integrated marketing and APAC original strategy for The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, said D23 Asia will include exclusive previews of APAC originals for Disney+ and opportunities to hear directly from creative talent behind Disney shows.
Asad Ayaz, chief marketing and brand officer for The Walt Disney Company, said bringing D23 to Singapore reflects Disney’s desire to meet Asia Pacific fans where they are and give them a look at what lies ahead.

How this fits D23’s global expansion
D23 Asia builds on Disney fan events in Anaheim, California, and the recent D23 Brazil: A Disney Experience. Disney says the Singapore event is part of D23’s continued global expansion to bring fan events to more destinations around the world.
The Singapore Tourism Board is also part of the announcement. Jean Ng, assistant chief executive of the Experience Development Group at the Singapore Tourism Board, said the event marks the first time D23 is coming to Southeast Asia and adds to Singapore’s calendar of major events and experiences.
For Disney fans, the practical takeaway is simple: D23 Asia is now official, but planning details are still pending. Anyone looking to attend will need to wait for Disney to announce dates, ticketing, venue information, and the programming slate.
