World of Frozen opens March 29, 2026 at Disney Adventure World in Disneyland Paris, and the scale of what Disney Imagineering has built is unlike anything at any other Disney park. Based on an official walk-through video narrated by Imagineers, here is everything guests can expect when the gates open in 18 days.
The Land Overview
World of Frozen is set in the kingdom of Arendelle, built at life-size scale inside what was formerly Walt Disney Studios Park. The centerpiece is the North Mountain, rising 36 meters high with Elsa’s Ice Palace at the summit. Below it sits the village of Arendelle, built around a town square centered on the Friendship Fountain, surrounded by colorful Nordic-inspired buildings. The Castle of Arendelle overlooks the bay, and a clock tower marks the entrance to the land’s signature ride.
Frozen Ever After
The anchor attraction is Frozen Ever After, a family boat ride that follows Anna, Elsa, and their friends through the kingdom. Guests sail through scenes set to “Let It Go” and “In Summer,” with what Imagineers describe as next-generation audio-animatronic figures. The details on the figures were not fully revealed in the preview video, but the phrasing suggests a step beyond current Disney animatronic technology. Imagineers noted additional special effects were still being added when the preview video was filmed.
Olaf: A New Kind of Character Meet
This is the detail that stands out most. Disney announced that the next generation of robotic characters is debuting at World of Frozen in the form of a walking, free-roaming Olaf. The Imagineer narrating the preview described it as “hands down the best day of my life,” which tracks with how significant this is technically. Olaf walking the land as an autonomous character is a major step for Disney Parks worldwide.
Royal Encounter with Anna and Elsa
Guests can book a Royal Encounter inside the Castle of Arendelle. The experience is guided through a portrait gallery, leading to a private moment with both Anna and Elsa. Booking will likely be required separately given the exclusive nature of the experience.
Celebration at Arendelle Show
The Snowflower Festival brings a 15-minute show called “Celebration at Arendelle” to life on the bay. The show features boats and live entertainment with Anna, Elsa, and their friends. The bay setting at Disney Adventure World creates a unique water-based spectacle unlike anything currently at other Disney parks.
Nordic Crowns Tavern
Dining is handled by the Nordic Crowns Tavern, a quick-service restaurant offering a customizable dinner experience inspired by Nordic cuisine. The decor tells the history of the kingdom and the royal family through design details throughout the space.
Shopping: Arendelle Boutique and Fjord View Shop
Two retail spots serve the land. The Arendelle Boutique sits in the village. The Fjord View Shop is a smaller trading post at the edge of the harbor. The shop’s signature item is Runa, described as a baby troll and a new interactive companion exclusive to World of Frozen.
Shark Take
The robotic Olaf is the wildcard here. Disney has been quietly developing free-roaming character technology for years, and this appears to be the first large-scale deployment at a park. If it works the way it looks in previews, it changes the ceiling for what character experiences can be. Worth watching closely when the land opens March 29.
