Pixar confirmed today that Incredibles 3 is coming to theaters on June 16, 2028.
The announcement came via the official Pixar Twitter account on March 18, 2026, with the message: “Showtime! #Incredibles3 is coming to theaters June 16, 2028.”
This will be the third film in The Incredibles franchise. The original The Incredibles arrived in 2004, followed by Incredibles 2 in 2018. That 14-year gap between the first and second film had fans waiting. Now, another decade later, the Parr family is officially back.
For theme park fans, the timing is significant. The Incredibles have a strong presence at Disney parks right now. At Disney California Adventure, the Incredicoaster at Pixar Pier features the family prominently, with character pop-ups themed around each member throughout the ride. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, the Municiberg area gives the franchise dedicated park real estate.
It is reasonable to expect Disney Parks will find ways to tie into this release, whether through updated overlays, new merchandise, or character meet-and-greet expansions. The 2018 release of Incredibles 2 brought renewed attention to existing park attractions. A third film will likely do the same.
No plot details have been shared yet. The announcement focused entirely on the release date. June 16, 2028 puts it squarely in summer blockbuster territory, which tracks for a major Pixar release.
I will continue following this story as more details emerge, including any official park announcements tied to the film.
