Walt Disney World launched a new After 2 PM Summer Ticket on April 1, 2026, giving guests discounted access to all four theme parks starting at 2:00 PM daily. The ticket starts at $116 per day and covers visits from May 26 through July 29, 2026.
Here is everything you need to know before buying.
What the After 2 PM Ticket Costs
Two ticket configurations are available. Both are date-based, meaning the price varies depending on your start date.
| Ticket | Starting Price | Peak Price | Use Window |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-Day Ticket | $118 per day ($235 total) | $158 per day (July 4 weekend) | Must use within 4 days of start date |
| 3-Day Ticket | $116 per day ($348 total) | $155 per day (June 30) | Must use within 5 days of start date |
Prices spike around the July 4th holiday window and drop back down from July 10 through July 29. Late July offers the lowest rates of the summer for this ticket type.
For comparison, standard Disney World one-day tickets during comparable summer dates range from $169 to over $200 per day. The After 2 PM option represents a savings of $50 to $80 per day during peak summer pricing.
Valid Dates and Parks
The ticket is valid for visits from May 26 through July 29, 2026, at all four Walt Disney World theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. One park per day. No theme park reservations required.
What You Lose With This Ticket
The trade-off is real. Guests with the After 2 PM Ticket cannot enter before 2:00 PM, which means:
- No rope drop or early morning access
- No Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort hotel guests
- Lightning Lane selections, dining reservations, and Mobile Order purchases made before 2 PM are not valid
- Cancellation fees for pre-2 PM reservations are nonrefundable
- Tickets are subject to capacity closures
- All tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable
Is It Worth It?
For the right type of visitor, yes. Disney parks in the afternoon and evening during summer are genuinely good. Parks stay open until 9 or 10 PM, temperatures drop after sunset, and nighttime entertainment like fireworks and parades give guests a full evening of content.
The ticket makes the most sense for:
- Florida locals looking for a quick evening visit without paying full price
- Families with young kids who nap in the morning and are ready to go after lunch
- Guests who hate Florida summer heat and are happy skipping the brutal 10 AM to 2 PM window
- Budget travelers with flexible schedules who can target late July dates at $116 per day
It is a worse deal for guests who want rope drop access, plan to do early-morning reservations, or are staying at a Disney Resort hotel and want to use Early Theme Park Entry. For those guests, the standard ticket is worth the premium.
How It Compares to Other Summer Ticket Deals
Disney also launched the Cool Kids’ Summer 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket starting at $109 per day ($436 total), valid through October 3, 2026, with no afternoon restriction. For guests with four full days, the Magic Ticket is the better value. The After 2 PM ticket wins for shorter trips or guests who genuinely want afternoons and evenings only.
