Perhaps one of the most hotly anticipated lands within the new park, Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe is the newest iteration of a beloved land, with Super Nintendo World lands already open at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Japan. With each Super Nintendo World that’s opened, guests have been able to keep a keen eye on some of the delicious new food offerings that have come along with each new land – but while the lands themselves may share features and attractions, food and beverage options are more of a ‘your mileage may vary’ situation, with differing menu items across all three parks.
Despite this, the experience that guests have come to expect from Super Nintendo World has stated the same, with bites fit for a Princess at the ever-popular Toadstool Cafe, one of the most anticipated restaurants coming to Epic Universe when it opens on May 22nd, 2025.
Thankfully, Universal has given guests a peek at what themed foods and drinks will be offered at this new leg of the park, including the extended Donkey Kong Country area housed within the land.

“Fuel up at Toadstool Cafe, where you can watch Chef Toad cooking up some of his favorite recipes and see playful scenes of the Mushroom Kingdom through the windows. Enjoy tasty creations prepared daily, including soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as delicious entrees and delectable desserts.”
Fans of the existing Super Nintendo World parks will be happy to know that the Toadstool Cafe is making its Orlando Debut inside Epic Universe, with a few of the most popular dishes from its Hollywood and Japan siblings featured here in the Sunshine State as well! Both the Mario Burger and the Luigi Burger are set to be on the Toadstool Cafe menu when the restaurant opens.

The Mario Burger (left) features a juicy seven-ounce all-beef burger patty topped with all the usual suspects – lettuce, tomato, and American cheese – as well as bacon and mushrooms, all on a brioche bun and finished with not only a print of Mario’s iconic mustache, but a tiny red hat as well! Guests can add a side of truffle French fries to power up this meal.
If you’re not in the mood for a beef burger or are just watching what you eat, then fear not! Luigi’s got your covered with the Luigi Burger (right). This alternative features savory grilled chicken breast topped with basil pesto, melty Swiss cheese, a hearty helping of seared green peppers, and fresh spinach on a brioche bun. Like his brother, Luigi’s burger is printed with his mustache, and comes with a similar green hat! (And the truffle French fries go really good with this sandwich, too!)
But walking the largest theme park in the world is bound to work up an appetite. That’s where Bowser’s Fireball Challenge comes in; a whopping one-pound meatball topped with melted mozzarella cheese in a decadent mushroom marinara sauce and garnished with fresh parsley, this hearty dish also comes with a Bowser-shaped puff pastry to soak up all that saucy goodness, and a side of hot sauce to tailor the ‘fireball’ part of the Fireball Challenge to your tastes, this dish is bound to be as much of a heavy hitter on the menu as Bowser himself!

Also available at Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe is a transfer directly from Japan – Yoshi’s Snack Island! While the menu for the version of this restaurant in Epic Universe will have more Westernized food options, things already seem pretty similar! Guests will be able to enjoy an Apple, Melon, or Mango smoothie with Yoshi’s Smoothies, or stop by for some bites with the Red Shell Calzone, stuffed with Italian Meats and melty cheese, or the vegan Green Shell Calzone!
If you’re looking for adventures outside of the Mushroom Kingdom, you can head over to The Bubbly Barrel in Donkey Kong Country, where you’ll find tropical relaxation with the DK Crush Float (which wouldn’t be complete without the iconic banana flavor – this is Donkey Kong Country, after all!), and many more treats yet to be revealed!
As we creep closer and closer to the official open of Epic Universe, tons more details will be revealed, getting everyone truly ready for an Epic Launch that’s sure to change how guests look at theme park entertainment! Until then, Theme Park Shark will continue to give guests the rundown on these little sneak peeks! Check back for more!
