Zootopia 2, the sequel to the 2016 Academy Award-winning animated film, is coming to Disney+ on Tuesday, March 11, 2026. Disney confirmed the streaming date across its official social media accounts and the Disney+ platform.
What to Know About Zootopia 2
The sequel follows rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they find themselves on the twisting trail of a new mystery in the city of Zootopia. The film brings back the voice cast including Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy and Jason Bateman as Nick, alongside new characters voiced by Ke Huy Quan and others.
Zootopia 2 hit theaters in November 2025 and earned strong reviews from both audiences and critics. The film was nominated for the BAFTA for Best Animated Film at the 2026 ceremony.
How to Watch
Zootopia 2 will be available to all Disney+ subscribers starting March 11, 2026. The film will be available globally on the platform. Disney+ plans currently start at $12.99 per month for the ad-supported tier.
Subscribers can also bundle Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN+ for additional savings. The film will join the original Zootopia, which is already streaming on the platform.
The Original Zootopia
The original Zootopia was released in March 2016 and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. It grossed more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office, making it one of the highest-grossing animated films of all time. The film follows Judy Hopps, a rabbit who becomes the first of her kind to join the Zootopia Police Department, as she teams up with con artist fox Nick Wilde to solve a missing mammals case.
Zootopia has a significant presence at Walt Disney World, where the Zootopia-inspired projection show plays on the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
