The Walt Disney Company took home 22 Children’s and Family Emmy Awards on Sunday, the most of any studio across the industry. Disney+ accounted for 21 of those wins, reinforcing the platform as the leading streaming destination for kids and family content.
Descendants: The Rise of Red and Pixar’s Win or Lose tied for the most wins with five each, while Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, this year’s most-nominated program, picked up four awards including Outstanding Young Teen Series.

Descendants: The Rise of Red (5 Wins)
The Disney Channel Original Movie sequel dominated its categories, winning Outstanding Fiction Special, Outstanding Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design, Outstanding Hairstyling and Makeup, Outstanding Choreography, and Outstanding Original Song for “Red Christmas.”
Win or Lose (5 Wins)
Pixar’s episodic series earned Outstanding Children’s or Young Teen Animated Series along with wins for writing (“Pickle”), directing (“Home”), editing (“Mixed Signals”), and Individual Achievement in Animation for storyboard artist Esteban Bravo.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (4 Wins)
The Lucasfilm series won Outstanding Young Teen Series, plus awards for editing, sound mixing/editing, and visual effects.
A Real Bug’s Life (2 Wins)
The National Geographic series picked up Outstanding Informational Program and an editing award.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (1 Win)
Marvel Animation’s latest series won Outstanding Voice Directing for an Animated Series for the episode “If This Be My Destiny.”
The Bigger Picture
The 22-win haul spans content from Disney Branded Television, Lucasfilm, Marvel Animation, National Geographic, and Pixar Animation Studios. Ten separate programs contributed to the total, showcasing the breadth of Disney’s kids and family slate across Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney Junior.
All winning programs are currently streaming on Disney+, with the exception of BUNK’D: Learning the Ropes, which streams on Hulu.
Disney+ continues to build out its kids and family library as a core differentiator in the streaming landscape. The platform launched several original animated and live-action series in the past year targeting younger audiences, and the Emmy recognition validates that strategy. With Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and National Geographic all contributing wins, the Disney+ kids slate now spans virtually every genre.
