adidas Originals, streetwear studio Brain Dead, and Disney are dropping a football-themed collection on June 29, 2026, built around a street-ready remake of the original 1994 adidas Predator. The launch lands right as FIFA World Cup 2026 fever ramps up, and it leans hard into ’90s World Cup nostalgia with Disney characters worked in as graphics.
The centerpiece is the adidas Predator x Brain Dead by Disney shoe. It takes the molded rubber upper from the first-ever Predator boot and swaps the soccer cleat for a heavy rubber outsole, turning a 1994 pitch icon into something you can actually wear down the street. Two removable foldover flap tongues let you choose between faux croc leather and patent leather. The patent version has perforations you can pin with six included vintage-style pins featuring Disney characters, and the whole thing is finished with Mickey Mouse and Brain Dead key chains.
What is in the collection?
Beyond the shoe, the bulk of the lineup is apparel that nods back to ’90s football kits. There are three co-branded kits, each with a matching jersey, shorts, and socks, in three colorways: yellow with green and black stripes, white with green and red stripes, and blue with white and red stripes. All three carry the Disney and Brain Dead logos.
The details are where it gets fun for collectors. Each jersey has flock-printed Disney characters on the sleeve, a flock-printed Disney logo on the chest, a Brain Dead logo in the neckline, and a Mickey Mouse all-over print. The shorts match that print, and the socks have embroidered Disney characters. Rounding it out: a Donald Duck graphic tee, crinkled nylon shorts, a track top with Disney character patches, and a graphic scarf. If you have been tracking how Disney leans on Disney collaborations with outside brands, this fits the pattern of pairing the characters with a name that brings its own following.
When does it drop and where can you buy it?
The collection arrives in limited quantities on June 29, 2026. You can find it through the adidas CONFIRMED app, adidas.com, select adidas stores, select retailers, and on wearebraindead.com. “Limited quantities” is the key phrase: drops like this from Brain Dead tend to move fast, so the CONFIRMED app is usually the safest bet for the harder-to-get pieces like the Predator shoe.
Pricing has not been announced. adidas and Disney did not share individual prices for the shoe, the kits, or the accessories in the announcement, so plan to check the CONFIRMED app and adidas.com on launch day for full pricing details.
Why this matters for Disney fans
This is the latest in adidas Originals ongoing collaborations with Brain Dead and Disney, and the first to bring all three together around football. For park fans, it is worth noting this is a Disney Consumer Products release, not a parks exclusive, so you will not need a ticket to grab any of it. That is the same model behind a lot of recent Disney character merchandise drops, where the characters show up on lifestyle gear sold well outside the gates.
The timing is the real hook. A World Cup-themed Disney drop landing days before the tournament window is built to ride the moment, and the ’90s kit styling targets the crowd that grew up on both classic World Cup jerseys and classic Disney. If you collect either, this is one to set a calendar reminder for. For anyone who tracks how often these limited-edition Disney apparel releases sell out, the limited-run note is the part to take seriously.
