Droid Depot is picking up a new resident on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Disneyland Park is debuting the Ewok Batuu Adventure Buddy, an interactive companion that comes with LCD eyes, motorized facial expressions, and a carrying sling. It’s the first of three Batuu Adventure Buddies coming to Droid Depot.
The Ewok reacts to attention. It responds to head pats and belly taps, and every Buddy in the line has expressive eyes, motorized facial movements, and signature character sounds.
What are the two special animations?
The Ewok Buddy has two special animations built in: Dance Party and Forest Call Chain.
Buy one for each kid at your own risk.
What do the accessories do?
Those accessories aren’t only decorative. Food, toys, and tools placed in the Buddy’s hands will trigger its reactions, and the optional accessories and customizable gear sets draw from destinations and characters from across the galaxy.
When do the other two Buddies arrive?
Disney hasn’t announced a date for the other two. They’ll become available at Disneyland Park later, and the full collection will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort.
