Carowinds put its 2027 Season Passes on sale at the lowest prices of the year, and the passes start working right away. Buy now and you’re covered for the rest of the 2026 season plus all of 2027, including SCarowinds and WinterFest.
The Gold Pass is $89, down from $115. That’s the park’s most popular pass, and it comes with free general parking, unlimited visits, admission to every East Coast Six Flags park, a Bring-A-Friend discount, and 10% off food and merch.
What does the Prestige Pass add?
The Prestige Pass runs $229, down from $275, and it’s the one built for people who basically live at the park. Admission covers all Six Flags parks, not just the East Coast ones, and parking upgrades to preferred (limited availability). You also get two free Bring-A-Friend tickets each year, 15% off food and merch, a VIP entrance for two hours daily, one free single-use Fast Lane per visit, and access to the VIP area.
The new benefit this year is free fountain beverages every visit. Free drinks every single visit is a real number on a hot August day at Carolina Harbor Waterpark, and waterpark admission is included on both passes.
Is there a renewal deadline?
Yes. Renew by September 7, 2026 and Carowinds adds a bonus on top of the sale price. Gold Pass renewals get a free Bring-A-Friend ticket. Prestige renewals get an extra Bring-A-Friend plus $20 in in-park credit.
Both tiers include admission to Halloween Haunt, which matters if you’re already planning fall trips. Passholders also get access to the Perks & Play loyalty rewards program, and Prestige adds its own exclusive perks on top.
Prices are listed before applicable taxes and fees. Carowinds hasn’t said when the sale ends, only that the offer won’t last, so the September 7 renewal date is the one firm deadline on the page. If you’re weighing a single-day ticket against a pass for a fall visit to SCarowinds, the math gets easy fast at $89.

The Gold Pass at $89 with parking included is the obvious pick for anyone driving to Carowinds more than twice between now and the end of 2027. Prestige earns its $229 if you’re traveling to other Six Flags parks or you’d rather not think about drink prices again.
