D23 2026 Live: Disney Entertainment Showcase at Honda Center

Disney closed the first night of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event with the Disney Entertainment Showcase at Honda Center in Anaheim on Friday, August 14, 2026. Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro opened the night, and the studios spent the next three hours rolling out release dates, first looks and a run of sequels.

Everything Disney Announced

• Incredibles 3 arrives in summer 2028. Winston Deavor launches a sponsored Superhero League now that Supers are legal again, and the Parr family faces a villain Disney says is more powerful than every Super combined.
• Coco 2 arrives in November 2029. Benjamin Bratt appeared on stage: “Prepare yourselves, amigos. De la Cruz will be back.”
• Zootopia 3 is confirmed, revealed with a logo on the arena screen.
• Frozen 3 got its first look.
• Lilo and Stitch 2 is set for summer 2028.
• Gatto, a new Pixar film set in Venice, Italy, is directed by Enrico Casarosa of Luca.
• Toy Story 5 was featured in Pixar’s sizzle reel.
• The New Simpsons Movie showed footage ahead of its September release.
• Kingdom Hearts: The Series is coming to Disney Channel and Disney+.
• Vision Quest, starring Paul Bettany, hits Disney+ in October.
• Camp Rock 3 brings the original cast back, with new campers competing for a shot to open.
• A new Ice Age film is nearly finished, with Scrat opening the adventure.

9:51 PM PT: First look at Frozen 3 at the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23.

9:36 PM PT: Zootopia 3 is officially happening. Walt Disney Animation Studios just confirmed it on stage at D23 with a logo reveal.

8:58 PM PT: Vision is getting his own series on Disney+ this October. Vision Quest stars Paul Bettany.

8:35 PM PT: A new Ice Age film is on the way. The cast says the film is nearly finished, with Scrat kicking off the adventure and a new companion joining the herd. D23 got an exclusive first look.

8:35 PM PT: Lilo and Stitch 2 is official for Summer 2028. The title card just went up on the arena screen at D23.

8:35 PM PT: The Camp Rock 3 tease brings everyone back to camp, and this time new campers are competing for a shot to open.

8:12 PM PT: Pixar announced Gatto, set in Venice, Italy. Enrico Casarosa, who also directed Luca, is directing it.

8:05 PM PT: Kingdom Hearts The Series is coming to Disney Channel and Disney+, with key art shown on the arena screen.

7:56 PM PT: Coco 2 has a release date: November 2029. Benjamin Bratt on stage at the Disney Entertainment Showcase: “Prepare yourselves, amigos. De la Cruz will be back.”

7:54 PM PT: Coco 2 is officially coming in 2029. Announced live at the Disney Entertainment Showcase: Pixar is returning to the Land of the Dead.

7:53 PM PT: The Incredibles 3 villain tease from the Disney Entertainment Showcase: the Parr family will face a supervillain with more power than the whole family and all of the Supers put together. Legal doesn’t mean good.

7:52 PM PT: More Incredibles 3 story details from the Disney Entertainment Showcase: Violet and Dash are sneaking out at night to prove they’re ready to be real Supers, their parents are not convinced, and Jack-Jack’s powers are getting more unpredictable than ever.

7:50 PM PT: Pixar lit up the Honda Center screens with a sizzle reel to welcome Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter to the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23. Toy Story 5 is on the menu.

7:47 PM PT: Pete Docter, Pixar’s Chief Creative Officer, is being welcomed at the Disney Entertainment Showcase. Fun fact from the stage: he was Pixar’s 10th employee and has won more Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature than anyone else.

7:46 PM PT: Alan Bergman, Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment, is now on stage at the Disney Entertainment Showcase to talk movies at D23.

7:44 PM PT: The Simpsons showed a sneak peek of The New Simpsons Movie at the Disney Entertainment Showcase, coming next September. Bart said on stage that Disney normally would not show footage this early, but he insisted.

7:43 PM PT: Bart Simpson appeared on screen to roast Dana Walden at the Disney Entertainment Showcase: “We’re both funny, and neither of us has aged in the last 40 years. So I have to ask, who draws you?”

7:41 PM PT: Dana Walden, President and Chief Creative Officer of The Walt Disney Company, is now on stage at the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23.

7:37 PM PT: Surprise at the Disney Entertainment Showcase: Josh D’Amaro just welcomed Anne Hathaway to the stage. She is part of this year’s Disney Legends class, being honored at D23 this weekend.

7:36 PM PT: Big number from Josh D’Amaro at the Disney Entertainment Showcase: Disney has a connection to more than 4 billion fans, half the world’s population. In his words, they “don’t just look at us for entertainment, they actually look at us for inspiration.”

The Disney Experiences Showcase, the parks and resorts presentation, runs Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. PT at Honda Center and streams live on Disney+. The Disney Legends Award Ceremony closes the weekend on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. PT.
