Walt Disney World got a Fourth of July flyover for America’s 250th anniversary, and it crossed two parks. U.S. Air Force Reserve aircraft from the 920th Rescue Wing soared above Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT on July 4, 2026, as part of Disney’s nationwide Independence Day celebration.

The aircraft are based at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. Disney said the flyover honored military heroes who have served the nation since its founding in 1776.

Where did the Walt Disney World flyover happen?

The flyover passed above Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney said thousands of guests were at the resort for the tribute.

The flyover was part of Disney Celebrates America, the company’s nationwide celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary. Disney described it as a visual tribute to the nation and those who serve.

Disney said the flyover paired the magic of Disney with the precision and mission readiness of the U.S. Air Force above some of the world’s most recognizable landmarks.

Before the aircraft crossed the resort, Airmen met Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. The characters debuted new patriotic attire as part of Disney Celebrates America’s 250th anniversary.

What is still unknown?

Disney did not announce a public schedule, flight time, route map, viewing package, ticket rule or repeat date in this announcement. This is a report on the July 4, 2026 flyover, not a new recurring entertainment listing for Walt Disney World.

The announcement also does not name specific aircraft models or say whether future flyovers are planned. If you’re planning a future holiday visit, don’t build a park day around another flyover unless Disney announces one separately.

Disney also noted that admiration for the U.S. Armed Forces is part of The Walt Disney Company’s more than 100-year history. Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney both served during the First World War.

What to know: The confirmed guest-facing news is the July 4 flyover above Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, with U.S. Air Force Reserve aircraft from the 920th Rescue Wing.
