Disneyland Resort is adding a Coco Lantern Sipper to its Dia de los Muertos lineup, and it goes on sale Thursday, September 3, 2026. The souvenir drink container is shaped like a lantern, with artwork from the Disney and Pixar film “Coco” glowing behind its panels, marigold and papel picado detailing, and a shoulder strap.

It’s a limited-time item and sells while supplies last. There is a limit of two per person, per transaction, and no discounts apply.
Where to find the Coco Lantern Sipper
The Coco Lantern Sipper will be sold at three locations across Disneyland Resort beginning September 3, 2026. Two are inside Disneyland Park: Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland and Ship to Shore Marketplace. The third is Paradise Garden Grill, the Plaza de la Familia dining location at Disney California Adventure Park.
A price hasn’t been announced.
Plaza de la Familia runs through November 2
Plaza de la Familia, the Dia de los Muertos celebration inspired by “Coco,” runs at Disney California Adventure Park from Friday, August 21 through Monday, November 2, 2026. The event fills Paradise Gardens Park with decor, entertainment, and activities built around the everlasting bonds of family.
“The Storytellers of the Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” street show returns this year, performed by a traveling troupe that mixes songs from the film with classic Mexican tunes. Live mariachi music plays at the Paradise Garden Bandstand, and a memory wall invites guests to add notes of remembrance for loved ones.
Paradise Garden Grill serves a menu inspired by Mexican cuisine during the celebration, including the returning chilaquiles carnitas torta. New merchandise from The Disney Pixar Coco Collection arrives in early September with apparel, accessories, and headwear inspired by the film.
The Frontierland tie-in at Rancho del Zocalo
Disneyland Park honors Dia de los Muertos with an installation in Frontierland near Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante. It’s adorned with skeleton figurines known as catrinas and calacas, colorful marigolds, and other decor traditionally displayed on ofrendas.
The flower guides spirits home in Dia de los Muertos tradition, and it’s the same visual that runs across the lantern itself.
How it fits into fall at Disneyland Resort
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort runs from Friday, August 21 through Saturday, October 31, 2026, and Plaza de la Familia extends the season two days past it. The Coco Lantern Sipper lands on September 3, in the same window as the Coco Collection merchandise release.
