Horizons: A Carousel of Progress is a Disney Experiences showcase. It will stream live worldwide on Disney+ at 7 p.m. PT on August 15. The presentation will feature Neil Patrick Harris, Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum, and Walt Disney Imagineering leaders discussing projects now in development.
Thousands of fans will attend the presentation at the Honda Center. Disney+ subscribers can follow the same project updates from home as the showcase happens.
What Disney will show during Horizons
Disney says the presentation will include project updates, first looks, new artwork, renderings, behind-the-scenes stories, and creative insights. The focus won’t be limited to early concepts. Disney says many projects shown during its 2024 presentation are now being designed, engineered, built, or tested by teams around the world.

Disney hasn’t identified every project that will appear in the 2026 presentation, but the company says viewers will get a closer look at how some of its most ambitious work is progressing.
Harris will host a series of conversations with Imagineers and other creative leaders. Disney’s announced lineup includes Walt Disney Imagineering President and Chief Creative Officer Bruce Vaughn, Global Creative and Development Studios Senior Vice President Ali Rubinstein, and creative leaders working across Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Disney Cruise Line.
The announced panel also includes Emily O’Brien, Caroline May, Claire Weiss, Brent Strong, Chris Beatty, and Jason Grandt.
The format will also include performances and other special moments. Disney says those pieces will sit alongside the project discussions rather than replace them.
How to watch the D23 showcase live
Disney+ subscribers can open the service at 7 p.m. PT on August 15 to watch Horizons: A Carousel of Progress. The presentation is part of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Disney+ will also offer subscriber perks throughout the weekend. Guests attending D23 can visit the Disney+ Hulu Experience, featuring immersive photo opportunities, a 4D theater experience, limited-edition merchandise, and more.
