Earlier today, Halloween Horror Nights got a big announcement. Two Houses – one for Orlando, and one for Hollywood – were announced for this upcoming season at HHN34. This landmark announcement marks two important milestones in each coast’s house lineup.
With the announcement of Monstruos 3, Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights has officially announced its first original house of the year. This comes after Orlando’s location underwent ‘spooky week’ – a week of nonstop house announcements focused on the Orlando team’s HHN Originals.
While Hollywood and Orlando have shared house announcements in the past for this season, everything announced thus far in Hollywood had been focused on IPs, such as Fallout and Five Nights at Freddy’s. While Orlando had been given plenty of house announcements since these reveals had started, things have been oddly radio silent in Hollywood until today.
“One wails. One bites. One beguiles. La Llorona, La Muelona and La Siguanaba await in the dark. Three legends La Muerte wants you to meet, but you’ll wish you never did.”
Montruous 3: The Ghosts of Latin America comes as little surprise to fans of the event, who were enchanted and terrified by the house’s two predecessors. Winning 2023 House of the Year in Hollywood, the original Monstruos house – Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America – would even go on to be shipped to Orlando the following year, making its mark on the East coast as well.
The house will allegedly focus on ghost legends popular throughout Latin America, La Meulona, La Siguanaba, and La Llorona, who is no stranger to the Halloween Horror Nights Scene. La Llorona, specifically, has been featured in various capacities at Halloween Horror Nights across several years, including four Hollywood houses dedicated to the weeping woman in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2022, as well as one house in Orlando in 2013.
While this is the first original house announced for Hollywood, Orlando has received its final original house announcement, as confirmed by showrunner Michael Aiello on twitter today.

Throughout spooky week here in Orlando, Halloween Horror Nights has revealed several original-concept houses like Grave of Flesh, Dolls: Let’s Play Dead, El Artista: A Spanish Haunting, and Hatchet & Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters. The newest announcement, Gálkn: Monsters of the North, rounds out this year’s five original-concept houses.
“In a remote northern village, a wicked being rises from the dead, bringing a horde of monsters and demons from the fjords to wreak havoc on the townspeople. You’ll face icy, horned, winged and wolfish fiends that gradually merge into one giant horror. Then you’ll try to escape the belly of the beast.”
This fifth and final original house announcement, along with the house announcements for this year’s IPs like Fallout and Jason Universe, leave three house announcements left for this year’s lineup for Orlando. And while many fans are eager to see what else Universal has up its sleeve on the East coast, it should be reminded that Orlando is still technically waiting on Universal’s creative team to announce how exactly Five Nights at Freddy’s fits into the mix! While both Hollywood and Orlando have been announced to be receiving a FNAF integration into the event, details on what exactly that experience will entail have not yet been revealed.
Though, as we draw closer and closer to the start of this year’s event, it’s likely that we will be given more information on the IP soon.
