It’s hard to believe, but Disney California Adventure is turning 25 this year — and Disney is marking the occasion with some really fun limited-time offerings kicking off on February 6, 2026.
The park originally opened on February 8, 2001, transforming what was once a Disneyland parking lot into an entire second theme park. Twenty-five years later, DCA has evolved dramatically — from the addition of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street to Pixar Pier, Avengers Campus, and San Fransokyo Square. It’s honestly wild to think about how much the park has changed.
What’s Coming for the 25th Anniversary
The highlight for a lot of fans is going to be the return of Soarin’ Over California, one of the park’s original opening day attractions. It’ll be back from February 6 through July 1, before being replaced by the brand-new Soarin’ Across America on July 2.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will also debut all-new outfits on Buena Vista Street starting February 6. The designs feature sun motifs and a vibrant color palette that nod to the park’s early days — a nice nostalgic touch.
Food, Merch, and That Pixar Pal-A-Round Bucket
From February 6-15, Schmoozies! will serve a special decadent cake shake and confetti shake with strawberry icing, sprinkles, whipped topping, and a slice of cake on top. That sounds like a must-try for me.
The real collectible everyone is going to be chasing is the Pixar Pal-A-Round Bucket. This isn’t just any novelty bucket — it features embedded “Magic Inside” technology that reacts to select locations throughout both theme parks, changing colors and lighting patterns. It’ll be available starting February 6 while supplies last at select locations including Hollywood Lounge, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, and various popcorn carts.
There’s also a 25th Anniversary Collection with apparel and three collectible pins available at Elias & Co., Gone Hollywood, and Seaside Souvenirs.
Humphrey the Bear Makes His Parks Debut
One detail that has fans really excited: Humphrey the Bear is making his first-ever Disney parks appearance at Storytellers Cafe on February 6 as part of Donald’s Tales of Adventure dinner buffet. It’s been a long time coming for this classic character.
All of these 25th anniversary offerings add to the already-running Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, so there’s a lot of reasons to visit right now.
