Disney Parks introduced Solara on Saturday, September 5, 2026, calling her the newest enchanted resident aboard the Disney Destiny. She’s a towering tree character with a face in her trunk and a canopy full of pumpkins. Disney shared four official photos of her and tagged the reveal #HalloweenontheHighSeas and #DisneyHalloween.
Disney’s own words: “Is she silly or spooky? We’ll let you decide.” Disney framed the reveal as a question rather than a description, and left the answer to fans.
What Solara Looks Like
Solara is a tall tree figure with a humanlike face set into the trunk. Her branch-like arms stretch outward, and her canopy is loaded with oversized ribbed pumpkins in bronze and orange. Several of those pumpkins have carved faces that glow yellow, orange, or green. Small orange leaves and red jewel-like ornaments hang along the limbs.
Her face has large painted eyes that look off to the side, green eyelids, and pale lips. Raised spiral markings decorate both cheeks and her chin. Green vines wrap around her forehead, neck, and chest, carrying dozens of little orange-and-yellow pods. Two amber ovals sit on her chest, and more pods frame her head like hair.
The whole display sits inside a square railing. Purple, pink, green, and orange light washes over the tree, the carpet, and the walls around her. The sideways glance and the calm expression are probably why Disney asked the silly-or-spooky question.
Where She Stands
The photos place Solara on the lower level of the ship’s multi-deck atrium, with several balcony levels rising above her. Seasonal colored lighting runs across the space around her.
Display cases, seating, and shop windows ring the space, so anyone crossing the atrium will pass right by her.
Halloween on the High Seas
Disney tied the reveal to Halloween on the High Seas with its hashtags, so Solara is part of the Disney Destiny’s Halloween decor this season. The photos show her from across the atrium floor and in tight close-ups of her face and pumpkin canopy.
Disney didn’t share dates for Solara’s run, any character interactions, or whether she changes at night. I’ll update this story when Disney Cruise Line posts more.
