Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures released the first official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The film hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker in his fourth solo Spider-Man film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) directs, with a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
What the Trailer Shows
The trailer picks up four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Peter Parker is living alone in New York, having erased himself from the memories of everyone he loved. He watches MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) from a distance, unable to reconnect with them.
As a full-time Spider-Man with no civilian life left, Peter faces a physical transformation that the trailer frames as a mutation of his powers, including what appears to be organic web-shooters. Mark Ruffalo returns as Bruce Banner to help Peter understand what is happening to him.
Jon Bernthal is back as Frank Castle, the Punisher, in a scene where he drives a van directly into Spider-Man. Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan, the Scorpion, with a confrontation teased between him and Peter. Sadie Sink appears in the film in an unconfirmed role that Marvel is keeping under wraps.
Official Synopsis
“Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city, a full-time Spider-Man, but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”
