Universal Studios Hollywood is bringing one of anime’s biggest franchises to life this spring. The park has officially announced ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show, a brand-new live stunt show debuting at Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026. The show runs for 12 select nights beginning Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, May 16, 2026.

What Is ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show?
The show is a live stunt production staged at the WaterWorld venue, inspired by the hugely successful Universal Studios Japan version. The setting is Midori Island, a fictional outpost from the ONE PIECE world, where the Straw Hat Crew – Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper – are searching for rare Pop Greens.
Things escalate fast. The Marines storm the island, blasting open the gates and setting off pyrotechnics and high-energy battle sequences. Rival pirate Buggy crashes the party looking to steal the Pop Greens for himself, triggering a 20-minute spectacle of comedy, action, and stunt work.
What Else Is at Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026?
ONE PIECE is the headliner, but Fan Fest Nights includes several other featured experiences:
- Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters: Mystery on the Backlot – An all-new immersive walk-through adventure on the Studio Tour tram route, featuring Frankenstein, Dracula, Bride of Frankenstein, and Wolf Man in their original filming locations.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Forbidden Forest: A Search for the Hippogriff – A walk-through experience deep in the Forbidden Forest with a Hogwarts Professor guiding guests past magical creatures.
- Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon the Miracle: Moon Palace Chapter Deluxe – A subtitled CG anime short film in DreamWorks Theatre, originally from Universal Studios Japan’s Cool Japan program.
- DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Secrets of Waterdeep – A returning fan-favorite walk-through experience featuring Xanathar, the legendary beholder built by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, with new enhancements for 2026.
- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD – Colorful Yoshi Celebration – All-new for 2026, guests can meet new multi-colored Yoshis throughout the Mushroom Kingdom.
Select theme park attractions also operate during the event, including Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff, Jurassic World: The Ride, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D, Revenge of the Mummy, and The Simpsons Ride.

Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026 runs for 12 nights only:

- May 7-9, 2026

Ticket Options
Universal Fan Fest Nights is an after-hours, separately ticketed event. Multiple ticket tiers are available:
- General Admission – Event access only, no daytime park admission included.
- Universal Express – Event access plus one-time express access to each in-world experience, ride, and attraction.
- Universal Express Unlimited – Event access plus unlimited express access.
- After 2PM Day/Night – Daytime park admission after 2pm plus same-day evening event access.
- 2-Night General Admission – Access for two event nights.
- Ultimate Fandom Pass – Access for up to all event nights (based on first visit date). No blackout dates on return visits. All visits must be completed by May 16, 2026.
- Early Access Ticket – Entry starting at 6pm to select experiences before the event opens. Must be purchased with a separate event ticket for the same date.
- Universal Fan Fest Nights VIP Tour – Guided tour of all experiences, gourmet dinner, and complimentary valet parking.
- Pass Member Special Pricing – Discounted General Admission for Annual Pass Members on select nights.
