Glen Powell is voicing Fox McCloud in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Powell announced the casting on his Instagram Friday, confirming the identity of the Star Fox pilot joining the growing Nintendo film universe when it hits theaters on April 1.
Powell, who broke out with Top Gun: Maverick in 2022 and most recently starred in the thriller How to Make a Killing, is a fitting choice for the space pilot. Fox McCloud has been a staple of Nintendo gaming since the original Star Fox on Super NES.

The Theme Park Connection
Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood and Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort continue to expand their Nintendo-themed attractions. Universal has used its Nintendo film releases to drive park attendance and merchandise sales, and the Galaxy Movie’s April 1 release is expected to bring renewed interest to both parks’ Nintendo areas.
Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood recently added a Yoshi meet and greet to celebrate the film, and additional character appearances tied to the movie are expected around the release date.
