Holiday World is turning its Friday nights over to live music, half-priced drinks, and coasters after dark. Friday Night Live returns August 21 and runs every Friday through October 30, with the park open from 5 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $25 online or $30 at the gate.
The band lineup rotates all season. Happy New Month, a party band out of Evansville playing 80s, 90s, and 2000s hits, takes the Cranberry Jam stage August 28, September 18, October 2, and October 30. Country cover band Cornfield Mafia plays that same stage September 11, October 9, and October 23. Saved by the Music, a 90s pop and hip-hop cover act, gets exactly one night: September 4.

What shows are at Hoosier Celebration Theater?
Two, depending on when you go. Matt Jergens brings the Out of Hand Comedy Juggling Show to the theater Fridays August 21 through September 11. Magic of the Night, a magic and illusion show, takes over the same stage Friday nights October 9 through 30.
Holiday World is also teasing something for coaster fans: “there might even be some trimless rides on The Voyage.” Those last few words are doing a lot of work for anyone who has ridden The Voyage with the trims on.
Do you need a separate ticket?
Not if you already have one. Platinum Season Passes, regular Season Passes, and Pre-K Passes all get you in. Summer Fun Cards are the exception: they’re only valid through Labor Day, so they won’t work after September 1. Groups of 15 or more can get a discount through Group Sales, and next-day tickets aren’t sold during these events.
A few things to know before you plan the night. Splashin’ Safari is closed for Friday Night Live. Happy Halloween Weekends attractions like the Corn Maze, Hayrides, and the Trick-or-Treat Trail don’t run either, so this is a music-and-rides night, not a Happy Halloween Weekends night. Rudolph’s Reindeer Ranch closes at 7:30 p.m. CDT, which matters if you’re bringing little kids. Holiday World says the event is geared toward an older crowd given the live music and all-night drink specials.
The Worry-Free Weather Guarantee still applies. If storms significantly hit operations, you get a ticket to come back any day the park is open to the public this season.
Shark Take: Gates open promptly at 5:00 p.m. and so do the ticket booths, so buy online at $25 and skip the $5 gate premium. If The Voyage running trimless is on your list, night rides are the whole reason to pick a Friday over a regular park day.
