Universal CityWalk is handing its bars over to NBC reality TV this month. Starting Saturday, September 12, the bar areas inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape become a “The Traitors: New Blood” takeover, Scottish Highland decor and all.

Two authentic costumes worn by host Alan Cumming go on display the same day, set up as a photo op before you head into an escape room.
The bar takeover runs the show’s entire season.
“The Traitors: New Blood” premieres Thursday, September 17 at 8 p.m. on NBC, then lands on Peacock the next day. This season invites everyday Americans into the game of deception.
What’s on the Traitors drink menus?
There are two inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape: The Library Beverage Menu and The Roundtable Beverage Menu. The Library runs dark. The Raven mixes scotch whisky, blackberry whiskey, cassis liqueur and ginger beer under a blackberry and mint bouquet, and The Castle at Midnight is the espresso martini, chocolate bitters included.
Then there’s A Murder in Plain Sight, a sparkling prosecco cocktail with hibiscus syrup and a lemon peel twist. Naming the prettiest drink on the menu after a murder is the funniest call here.
The Roundtable menu takes its names straight from the game: The Faithful, The New Blood, The Traitor, The Dagger. The New Blood stacks cherry rum and dark rum with cassis, cherry liqueur, lime juice and barrel-aged spiced cherry bitters.
Each menu carries a mocktail. The Shield pairs apple juice and hibiscus syrup with a smoked saline solution. The Ally keeps it lighter with lemon juice, club soda, blue curaçao and elderflower syrup.
When does The Voice takeover start at Rising Star?
September 21. The karaoke club at CityWalk’s Rising Star picks up “The Voice”-inspired decor for the new season’s run, which marks 30 seasons of the show.
Two limited-time cocktails come with it. The Blind Audition is bourbon, lime juice, house-made honey syrup and lemon-lime soda. Chair Turner goes bittersweet with white tequila, triple sec, lime, cranberry juice and agave syrup.
The show’s three-night premiere event starts that same Monday at 8 p.m. on NBC, with Peacock the following day.
Shark Take: You’ll need to be 21 or older with a valid photo ID to buy the alcoholic drinks at either Universal CityWalk venue. The two mocktails cover everyone else.
