UCF football will debut a Walt Disney World logo on its helmets against TCU on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The Knights play at Acrisure Bounce House in Orlando, with the logo set to remain on their helmets throughout the season.
The logo sits on the rear bumper of each helmet. Saturday’s game opens Big 12 Conference play for UCF and marks the Horned Frogs’ first visit to Acrisure Bounce House.
Walt Disney World Resort and UCF Athletics unveiled the helmet Friday. The game is scheduled to reach a national television audience.
Why is the Walt Disney World logo on UCF’s helmets?
The helmet reflects an existing relationship between Disney and UCF, two organizations with deep ties to Central Florida. Thousands of UCF students and graduates have connections to Disney. Many have taken part in Walt Disney World’s student outreach programs or gone on to work for Disney.
UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir said the university is proud to feature the logo. “Walt Disney World is part of the fabric of Central Florida,” he said. Mohajir also thanked Disney for its investment in UCF Athletics and pointed to the Big 12 opener as the debut.
Sivonne Davis, Walt Disney World Resort’s vice president of marketing strategy, called UCF an important part of the community. She said the helmet expands a longstanding relationship and celebrates Central Florida. Disney and UCF also plan to use the collaboration to engage Knights fans, though they haven’t detailed additional activities.
For fans at Saturday’s game, the change is a small one with a specific place to look: the back of the Knights’ helmets.
