Universal Orlando has refreshed its guide to the resort’s best cocktails, and Epic Universe leads the list.
The first stop is Burning Blade Tavern in Dark Universe, where monster trophies and strands of garlic hang behind the bar. Universal calls it the place where the monster hunters hang out. The tavern is dim and rustic, and its signature drink is the Lagoon’ita, a bubbly, reddish purple rum cocktail.
What are the signature cocktails at Epic Universe?
Three Epic Universe bars get a named signature drink: Burning Blade Tavern, CelesTiki and The Plastered Owl.
The Lagoon’ita mixes rum, limoncello and lime with blackberries and mint. It’s served in a souvenir pilsner glass.
Over in Celestial Park, CelesTiki sits near the Cosmos Fountain. It’s a circular bar with glowing lanterns and lush plants, and the menu leans tiki with Mai Tais and Piña Coladas. Its signature is the Waturi Punch, built on light and overproof rums with orange, lime and passion fruit. Fresh mint and a blood orange garnish finish it.
The Waturi Punch comes with a swizzle stick you can take home.
The Plastered Owl is tucked inside The Oak & Star Tavern, where an ancient tree anchors the room. Its namesake cocktail is whiskey-based, with lemon juice, simple syrup and black cherry syrup. Muddled lemon wedges, cocktail cherries and an orange twist round it out. Musicians perform at The Plastered Owl daily.
Plenty of other spots across Epic Universe pour drinks too. Mead Hall and Spit Fyre Grill both serve mead. The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant adds sake and Japanese whisky to its cocktail, beer and wine list. Bar Moonshine and Bar Zenith both carry cocktails, beers and wines.
Where can you get a cocktail at Universal Studios Florida?
Chez Alcatraz in the San Francisco area is Universal’s top cocktail pick for the park. You’ll spot it by the massive great white shark hanging beside the bar.
The signature drink is the Ocean Attack. It’s an electric blue mix of coconut rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, Sprite and grenadine. Universal says the bartender puts on a performance with it. The bar also pours the San Francisco Bay Breeze, made with coconut rum, cranberry and pineapple juice.
Beer drinkers get Duff Brewery in Springfield, U.S.A., which pours Duff Beer and has outdoor seating. Universal lists Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in the New York area as temporarily closed for renovations, starting January 12 and running until Winter 2026. The Irish-American pub is known for drafts and mixed draughts like the “Snake Bite” and the “Blacksmith.”
The Leaky Cauldron and The Hopping Pot both serve whiskey, beers and wines. The Fountain of Fair Fortune focuses on whiskey cocktails and beers.
Where’s the best bar at Islands of Adventure?
Universal points to Backwater Bar in Port of Entry. It’s tucked behind Confisco Grille, dark and cool inside, with a patio that has umbrella seating. Universal also keeps a separate mocktail guide for guests skipping the alcohol, and the full drinks guide covers Universal CityWalk, Volcano Bay and the resort hotels as well.
