Universal Orlando Resort confirmed on Wednesday, June 17 that all-new Stranger Things haunted houses arrive for the 2026 Halloween Horror Nights season at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. The houses are built in partnership with Netflix and based on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things.
This is the next chapter in a partnership fans already know well. If you walked through the earlier Stranger Things mazes, you know how far Universal goes to rebuild Hawkins. The stakes feel higher this round because the houses pull from the show’s final run.
Inside the Hawkins houses
The Upside Down is invading Hawkins, and this time no one is safe. The houses send me back to Hawkins with the gang for one last adventure based on the show’s final season. Demogorgons and the Mind Flayer stalk every turn, and Vecna hunts guests through the dark. Universal is leaning hard into the season five story, and the houses pull straight from the show’s final run.

HHN 35 dates on both coasts
Halloween Horror Nights 35 runs on select nights at each resort. Universal Orlando hosts the event from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, November 1. Universal Studios Hollywood runs select nights from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1. I laid out the full official HHN 35 dates, theme, and tickets, and these houses slot right into that calendar. Out west, the Stranger Things house joins the lineup already building at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The merch drop
Universal is releasing a limited collection inspired by the house. It includes a T-shirt, an ’80s-nostalgia mug, and a Stranger Things acrylic figure that fits the separately sold Infernal Carnival collectible display, with more collectibles coming to complete the set. The collection is available in the parks now, and it launches online Thursday, June 18 at 9 a.m. PST on shopUniversal.com. Universal says more Halloween Horror Nights merch is on the way in the months ahead.
How to get tickets
Tickets are on sale now for both coasts, and Universal says additional Universal Orlando ticket options release soon. I always grab event nights early because the strongest dates sell through fast once the houses go public. You’ll find dates and ticket details at HalloweenHorrorNights.com.
Here’s my quick planning tip. If a Stranger Things house tops your list, target an opening-stretch night in early September, line up for it at the start of the evening, and save the smaller scare zones for later when the queue swells. That one move can save me close to an hour on the biggest house of the night. The next thing to watch is those additional Universal Orlando ticket options, which should give Florida guests more ways to plan their nights.
