Disney’s BoardWalk is getting a new lounge, a new shop, and a new quick-service restaurant, with the first additions set to open starting in late 2026. Disney confirmed the plans on the Disney Parks Blog and framed them as part of an ongoing refresh of the waterfront promenade along Crescent Lake, right next to EPCOT.
The headliner is Hurly-Burly, a lounge moving into a historic seaside theatre space on the BoardWalk. It runs two different modes depending on the time of day. Afternoons are family-friendly, with trivia and other games led by a host. At night it flips into a 21-and-over live music venue with coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites.
What is Hurly-Burly at Disney’s BoardWalk?
Hurly-Burly is a new lounge built around a century-spanning BoardWalk backstory inside a historic theatre setting. Disney describes the daytime offering as casual and game-focused, then a shift to live musical entertainment in the evening. The cocktails lean classic and coastal, paired with small plates rather than a full dinner menu.
If you have stayed at the BoardWalk before, this fills a real gap. The area has dining and a few bars, but a dedicated music lounge with a daytime trivia angle is new for this stretch of resort. It is the kind of spot that gives the BoardWalk Inn crowd somewhere to land after an EPCOT day.
What does Basin on the BoardWalk sell?
Basin on the BoardWalk is a new retail location from Basin, the handcrafted bath and body brand. The shop carries natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, and shampoo and conditioner bars, all built around the BoardWalk’s vintage heritage.
The part worth knowing is the interactive setup. Basin on the BoardWalk includes a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press so you can personalize what you buy. That hands-on element is more than a standard merch stop, and it slots in next to nearby EPCOT for guests already wandering the area.
Dates, location, and access
All of this lives at Disney’s BoardWalk at Walt Disney World, the promenade beside Crescent Lake and a short walk from EPCOT’s International Gateway. The new experiences begin rolling out starting in late 2026. Disney has not given exact opening dates for Hurly-Burly or Basin on the BoardWalk yet.
You do not need a park ticket to visit the BoardWalk itself. It is an open promenade, so anyone can stroll through, shop, and grab a drink without entering EPCOT. That makes these additions easy to fold into a resort day at Walt Disney World without spending on admission.
What is still unknown?
Disney also confirmed a new quick-service restaurant is coming to the BoardWalk, but said more details are coming later this summer. No name, menu, or opening window has been shared for that spot. Pricing, exact open dates, and operating hours for Hurly-Burly and Basin on the BoardWalk are also still unannounced.
Shark Take: If you book the BoardWalk Inn or pop over after EPCOT, watch for the late 2026 window. Hurly-Burly’s daytime games are kid-friendly, but the evening live music is 21-and-over, so plan the timing around who you are bringing.
