Disney just put out a summer roundup of where to find ice cream, slushies, milkshakes, and other cold treats across Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure. The list went up on the Disney Parks Blog on Thursday, June 25, and it doubles as a handy cheat sheet for staying cool on a hot park day.
It is not a new menu launch. These are existing items Disney is spotlighting for the season, with specific venues and exact treats called out so you know where to go before the line gets long.
Where do you find ice cream at Disneyland park?
Start with the snack carts. The outdoor vending carts around both parks carry the classics: Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar, the Mickey ice cream sandwich, frozen bananas, popsicles, and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. Easy to grab and eat while you walk.

For a sit-and-scoop stop, Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street U.S.A. does hand-scooped cups and cones plus sundaes. Disney’s picks there are the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae (two scoops of vanilla, two fresh-baked cookies, fudge, whipped cream, cherry) and the Strawberry Street Car Sundae served in a dipped waffle cup. The Golden Horseshoe also serves ice cream alongside its corn dogs and chicken tenders, including a Cookie Butter Churro Sundae and a Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Cherry, or Barq’s Root Beer float. If you are mapping out a full summer day, pair the treat list with the current Disneyland summer 2026 lineup before you commit to a wait.

What cold treats are at Disney California Adventure?
Cars Land is the move for milkshakes. Flo’s V8 Cafe pours classic vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry shakes topped with crushed cookie “road gravel” that plays into the Radiator Springs theming. You can get it in a Cars Land souvenir glass if you want to bring the cup home.

Over in San Fransokyo Square, the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop handles the indulgent end: sundaes, shakes, and frozen drinks like cocoa and mochas, all made with Ghirardelli chocolate. The World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae is the signature order. This kind of named-venue detail is exactly what is worth saving before a Disneyland Resort park day.

What is still unknown?
The blog post is a curated set of favorites, not a complete menu list, so prices and seasonal availability are not all spelled out. Disney did not announce any new items here or attach a date range, which means these are current offerings rather than a limited-time drop. Check each location’s menu in the app for the latest pricing before you order.
Shark Take: Treat this as a routing guide, not a news drop. If you are at Disneyland on a hot day, the carts are fastest, Gibson Girl is the dessert stop, and DCA’s Flo’s and Ghirardelli are worth the detour. Save the venue names now so you are not searching menus in the heat. Pair it with the rest of your Disneyland summer park plan and you are set.
