Universal Orlando Resort hotels are adding limited-time summer experiences now through August 10, 2026, across all 11 on-property hotels.
Guests will see new sand sculptures in every hotel lobby, seasonal food and drinks, Saturday night poolside activities at select hotels, and a weekend character meet-and-greet perk for Universal hotel guests inside Universal Studios Florida.

Sand Sculptures
The hotel lobby displays are the centerpiece of the summer lineup. Each sculpture uses 600 to 1,200 pounds of sand and takes up to 10 hours to build, with each hotel getting a Universal film or franchise theme.
- Universal Helios Grand Hotel: How to Train Your Dragon
- Loews Portofino Bay Hotel: Jaws
- Hard Rock Hotel: Ghostbusters
- Loews Royal Pacific Resort: Kung Fu Panda
- Loews Sapphire Falls Resort: Jaws
- Universal Aventura Hotel: Back to the Future
- Universal Stella Nova Resort: E.T.
- Universal Terra Luna Resort: Dark Universe
- Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort: Shrek
- Universal Endless Summer Resort, Surfside Inn & Suites: Trolls
- Universal Endless Summer Resort, Dockside Inn & Suites: Shrek
The displays give guests an easy hotel-hopping photo route, especially if they want to see newer resort themes like the Dark Universe sculpture at Universal Terra Luna Resort or the How to Train Your Dragon sculpture at Universal Helios Grand Hotel.
Food And Drinks
The summer hotel lineup also includes seasonal food and drinks. Loews Portofino Bay Hotel is serving the Mischief Mixer, a cocktail made with vodka, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine. Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort is serving fried funnel cake sticks.
Those hotel-specific items sit alongside the larger summer push across Universal Orlando, including character experiences, photo ops, menu items, merchandise, and nighttime entertainment in the parks.
Hotel Guest Perks
Five Universal hotels have Saturday night poolside experiences beginning at 6:30 p.m. this summer: Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. The poolside events include a live DJ, pool games, giveaways, and other activities.
All Universal hotel guests also get a new weekend theme park benefit. Exclusive character meet-and-greets are available at Universal Studios Florida every Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
That benefit stacks with Universal’s existing hotel perks, including Early Park Admission and complimentary transportation, so the summer additions give on-property guests more to do without leaving the resort bubble.
Summer Entertainment
The hotel experiences run during the same summer window as Universal’s in-park seasonal entertainment. Universal Mega Movie Parade, CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular, and Hogwarts Always in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter are part of the destination’s summer lineup on select nights.
Universal has also added 11 more Volcano Bay Nights dates this summer. The after-dark water park event includes lower waits at popular attractions, character appearances, exclusive food and drink, and nighttime access to Universal Volcano Bay.
The practical move here is simple: if you’re staying at a Universal hotel before August 10, check your lobby first, then plan pool time or a weekend character meet around the new perks. The hotel experiences are positioned as limited-time extras for Universal Orlando hotel guests, so build them into your resort schedule instead of treating the hotel as only a place to sleep.
