Shanghai Disney Resort is gearing up for the grand debut of its 10th anniversary celebration, set to officially kick off in March 2026.
The resort, which opened on June 16, 2016, has already begun anniversary festivities. A new anniversary logo featuring the Enchanted Storybook Castle alongside a “+” symbol was unveiled, representing both the Chinese character for “ten” and the idea of “plus more magic.” The official tagline is “With You, It’s Magic+.”
Anniversary activities have been underway since New Year’s Eve 2025, when the resort displayed “2026” during its fireworks celebration. The broader year-long celebration reaches its grand debut phase in March, according to posts from Shanghai Disney Resort, which noted teams are “racing through final preparations.”
The resort has also been hosting Lunar New Year events celebrating the Year of the Horse, featuring a traditional lion eye-dotting ceremony with Mickey, Minnie, and Bullseye. Valentine’s Day programming included heart-shaped fireworks and castle projections on the Enchanted Storybook Castle.
Shanghai Disney Resort was the first Disney theme park built in mainland China and has grown into one of the most visited Disney destinations worldwide. The park continues to expand, with a Spider-Man-themed land currently under construction, with vertical steel columns for its coaster being installed as of late 2025.
Specific details about the full 10th anniversary lineup, including new parades, shows, and merchandise, have not yet been announced.
The resort’s English-language updates are shared through Disney Parks channels, while Chinese-language updates are available on Weibo and the Shanghai Disney Resort app.
