Shanghai Disney Resort’s 10th anniversary celebration is almost here, and Disney just dropped the full entertainment guide for “With You, It’s Magic+” – the year-long event kicking off March 20. The lineup is stacked.
A Brand-New Castle Stage Show
The biggest debut is “The Heart of Magic,” a new production set across Enchanted Storybook Castle – now expanded with three satellite stages and connecting bridges that bring guests closer to the story. Mickey and Friends lead the quest to restore the Heart of Magic alongside characters from Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, Mulan, Hercules, Frozen, Toy Story, Coco, and Turning Red.
Two character firsts: Hercules makes his Shanghai Disneyland debut, and Miguel steps into his first major park role at the resort.
Two New Parade Additions
Mickey’s Storybook Express gets two new additions for the milestone year. First up is “FriendSHIP! The Duffy and Friends’ Special Pre-Parade” – a new golden ship float carrying all seven Duffy friends in celebratory attire, sailing ahead of the main parade. Selected guests even get to join the procession.
Right behind it, a new Zootopia float brings Gazelle’s concert bus to the parade route. Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and DJ Officer Clawhauser lead the party, with the Big family and other Zootopia residents joining in. Expect performances of “Try Everything” and “Zoo” from Zootopia 2.
Illuminate! Gets a New Finale
The nighttime spectacular “Illuminate! A Nighttime Celebration” is being reimagined for the anniversary. A new finale features Mickey Mouse in a majestic magician ensemble appearing in a flash of magic sparkles, plus a new segment inspired by Wish featuring Asha, Star, and “This Wish.”
Food, Merch, and More
Disney is calling this the largest dedicated merchandise collection in Shanghai Disney Resort history – plush, apparel, collectibles, and the new interactive Magic Wand that lets guests summon and collect magic throughout the park. A new digital experience called “My Magic Star” ties it all together.
On the food side, noodle dishes will appear across resort menus as a nod to Chinese birthday traditions, alongside signature flavors from cities around China. Fan-favorite snacks from the past decade are also returning.
The celebration runs all year. Shanghai Disney Resort first announced the 10th anniversary event in February, and just yesterday BDX Droids launched at Shanghai Disneyland as part of the park’s continued expansion push heading into the milestone year.
