EPCOT is leaning into an unofficial holiday on September 21. Earth, Wind and Fire’s “September” will play all day long at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which means the one song everybody quotes that morning gets a full day in World Discovery.
Connections Café and Eatery is pouring a drink you can only order on September 21. It’s called the Supernova Sip.
What’s in the Supernova Sip?
Spicy hot honey syrup, lemon juice and edible glitter, all topped with orange cotton candy. There’s a spirited version too, made with Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Hot honey and cotton candy in the same glass is a bold swing for a drink that exists for 24 hours, and I respect it.
Star-Lord is part of the day as well. The pilot of the Milano is a busy guy, so his meet times show up in My Disney Experience rather than on a set schedule.
The ride itself still does its usual trick, handing every Starjumper a different soundtrack for the chase through space. That’s the fun of riding it more than once in a day.
Treasures of Xandar sits just outside the attraction exit, a Xandarian trading post stocked with otherworldly finds and relics honoring Xandar’s heroes. In plain English: Guardians merch, steps from where your Starjumper drops you off.
How can you save on a September trip?
Disney is running two deals that cover a September 21 visit. The 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket starts at $109 per day plus tax, or $436 total plus tax, and it’s good for most days through October 3, 2026. It covers one park per day with one admission per park, and it has to be used within seven days of first use.
Rooms are discounted too. Select Disney Resorts Collection hotels are up to 30% off for stays of five nights or longer, with most arrivals landing before that same early October cutoff. Shorter stays have their own savings.
Shark Take: the Supernova Sip is available on September 21 only. If the drink is what you want, make Connections Café and Eatery an early stop that morning.
I keep a live EPCOT wait times page that is updated all day.
