Universal Studios Hollywood’s Super Nintendo World will feature a new attraction, stores, an interactive adventure, and character meet & greet opportunities. Of course, the new land will feature a unique eatery! Toadstool cafe is an immersive, highly themed restaurant that will make you feel like you’ve stepped right into the Mushroom Kingdom! The restaurant features furniture with a wood grain design and pops of color throughout. The immersive experience begins as soon as guests enter the restaurant. While waiting in line to order, guests will see Chef Toad and his friends preparing delicious dishes in the kitchen!
The interior design, crew member uniforms, and screens around the restaurant really make this an immersive dining experience! A team member instructed us to keep our eyes on the screens around the restaurant for a special show that will happen periodically throughout the day!
There are so many great options for all types of eaters! We tried ALL of the items!!!
Starters & Salads:
Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots: Soft, buttery, and flaky. We loved the flavors of parmesan and basil on top of the garlic knots. The marina dipping sauce was the perfect addition to the dish!

Pirhanna Plant Caprese: A light, fresh option with lots of flavor. The vinaigrette was perfectly executed and the pesto drizzle was very flavorful! A great option for someone looking for something light and refreshing!

Yoshi’s Favorite Fruit & Veggie Salad: If you enjoy fruit flavors in your salad, This is the one for you! The croutons are themed to Yoshi eggs and add a nice texture to the salad!
Our Rating: 7/10
Super Star Chicken Salad: The dressing on this salad is very strong and potent. It is a truffle mushroom dressing with a strong flavor. If you are a fan of mushrooms and truffles, this salad would be a great option! The parmesan Super Star and croutons added a nice crunch!
Our Rating: 7/10 (*If you are a fan of truffle and mushroom flavors, this would be an 8 or 9!)
Main Menu:
Mario Burger (Bacon, Mushroom and Cheese): This is a great burger! The bacon was crispy and the lettuce & tomato were very fresh! A great option if you are craving a burger!

Luigi Burger (Pesto Grilled Chicken): The grilled chicken is tender and juicy. The pesto sauce, swiss cheese, and basil are all nice touches that complement the sandwich perfectly. It is served with truffle-flavored crinkle-cut fries… they are incredible! And, of course, we love the themed touches of Luigi’s hat and mustache!

Mario Mini Burger Adventure Set (Kid’s Meal): You cannot beat the theming of this item! It is a perfect kid’s portion and features a side of vegetables (Broccoli and Corn) themed to the iconic Goal Pole! It is also served with a mystery Coin cookie (can be either vanilla or chocolate).
Our Rating: 10/10
Fireflower Spaghetti & Meatballs: This item is hearty and filling! The meatballs are huge and have great texture. The Fire Flower parmesan crisp serves as a delicious edible decoration. This dish does have a kick of spice (a 5/10 on the heat scale).

Save room for dessert! Three options are waiting to satisfy your sweet tooth!
The “? Block” Tiramisu: This item resembles the iconic Power-Up seen throughout the game! The coffee flavor was very light and different from traditional tiramisu. We loved the texture of the whipped cream and, of course, you can’t beat the white chocolate mushroom power-up!

Princess Peach’s Cupcake: Features a Funfetti cake with shimmery pink buttercream frosting to resemble her iconic dress. A very dense, rich cupcake with flavors of vanilla and pops of color from the Funfetti sprinkles!
Our Rating: 10/10 (SO GOOD!)
The Mount Beanpole cake: Is described as a “multi-layered Italian cookie cake with a matcha mousse”. This dessert was light and airy with flavors of strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and matcha. We thought the matcha flavor was a bit overpowering, but overall, not a bad option.

All of these dessert options are perfectly executed and Instagram-worthy!
We would also like to give a HUGE shoutout to the waitstaff at Toadstool Cafe! They were VERY attentive and helpful and contributed to our incredible dining experience! Kudos to the Toadstool Cafe team!
