With the season of spooks and scares in full swing, there’s never been a better time to visit Universal Orlando’s hotels! From hotel perks to unique experiences, the Universal Orlando Resort family of hotels has something for everyone at every budget.

From the value series of hotels like the Endless Summer sister hotels Dockside and Surfside – which Theme Park Shark will be reviewing by the end of the month! – to the extravagant luxury of the Loews Hotels, like the Portofino or the Royal Pacific, to every hotel in between, this year at Universal’s hotels is shaping up to be the spookiest ever.

Each Universal hotel comes with its own perks, many of which are foregone conclusions for anyone looking at staying at a hotel on property in Orlando. From free transportation to and from the parks, to Early Park Admission to select attractions on select days, to in-park purchases being delivered to your hotel room as a courtesy, staying on property at Universal Orlando Resort has plenty of regular perks.

But every year for the Halloween season, hotel guests get a few extras that many may not know about!

There’s plenty to be afraid of at Halloween Horror Nights, but the crows shouldn’t be one of them! With hotel guests being granted special access to Halloween Horror Nights, it’s easier than ever to beat the crowds and rush to your favorite house while wait times are still low. From 6:30pm – 7:30pm every event night, guests can present their hotel room key and valid Halloween Horror Nights 33 admission ticket to be admitted through the dedicated entrance gate.

The entrance for the dedicated hotel access is past the left side of the arches, beyond the gated area that houses Rip Ride Rock-it. If you’ve ever been down the path that used to lead to the Blue Man Group amphitheater (which is now reserved for select VIP tour check ins, like Unmasking the Horror and Holiday VIP tours), you know where to go for this entrance. If you’re not familiar with how to access the entry gate at Soundstage 18, ask a team member! They’ll be happy to assist getting you in the right queue for admission!

In addition to the dedicated access to make entry a breeze, hotel guests can also find the horror at home, with specialty drinks featured at lounge locations in Universal’s Cabana Bay, Aventura, Dockside, and Surfside hotels. These elaborately themed lounge facades will bring a little fear to your doorstep, and allow you to enjoy a taste of the terror without ever leaving your hotel! Small bites and midnight snacks are also available at the quick-service counters at these locations, featuring pizza, wings, desserts, and more! And with even the quick eats being held to Universal’s standard of quality, you’re certain to enjoy every bite! Be sure to check with your hotel’s front desk for lounge and cafe information, as the locations and menus will vary between hotels!

But the horror doesn’t stop there! Universal Hotels are also offering detailed themed lobbies to bring the horror home, as well as exclusive photo opportunities set up within each themed lobby to allow guests to really maximize their scares. From bloody backdrops to monsters waiting for you to get just a little closer, enjoy these photo ops at your own risk. You never know what might grab you while you’re taking that selfie (even if it would be totally worth it!).

With Halloween Horror Nights running through the remainder of October and up to November 3rd, this year’s runtime is the longest to date in the history of the event, giving you plenty of opportunity to capitalize on the scares for maximum screamage! Even if multi-night tickets are sold out, there’s still time to purchase your single-night tickets or RIP experience, through Universal’s official ticketing site, below:

Her favorite stories have always been about magic and far-off adventures, and growing up in Orlando, Florida allowed her to experience those adventures in real life. As an adult, she graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2023 with a degree in Literature while working in the Education Industry. Her inner child, however, still has a deep love for fairies, dragons, magic, and adventure. When not writing her next big adventure, she enjoys drawing, puzzle platformers, theme parks, and fast roller coasters.
