Celebrate the Holidays at SeaWorld Orlando

Christmas is officially under way at SeaWorld Orlando! This year, the nautical theme park offers the return of some of the traditions you love, plus brand new festivities for the whole family!

During this year’s Christmas Celebration, SeaWorld Orlando will be putting on a spectacular lights show called Holiday Reflections: Fireworks Finale. This dazzling lights show features LED Christmas lights, fireworks, and artistic lighting all choreographed to your favorite holiday tunes and traditional Christmas carols! This incredible show takes place every night of the event at park close through December 31st, and can be seen from multiple locations throughout the park.

A returning fan favorite, SeaWorld Orlando has put on a stage show unlike any other! Featuring over 30 traditional carols, life-sized puppets, live animals, and expert story telling as SeaWorld’s greatest talents tell the story of Jesus’s birth, O Wondrous Night is a SeaWorld Orlando tradition – and for good reason! While admission to the show is included in your SeaWorld Orlando ticket, guests can choose to upgrade their seats, with the choice of reserved seating starting at 29.99 per ticket.

Guests can also purchase the O Wondrous Night Close-Up Tour, starting at 39.99 each. This purchase does not include reserves seating, but instead gives guests the opportunity to go backstage to meet the actors and animals that make the show so immersive! Guidelines for this purchase must be followed, such as no loose jewelry or sunglasses. Guests will also be given the chance to wash or sanitize their hands before and after animal encounters, so don’t worry!

SeaWorld Orlando’s Sea of Trees is an awe-inspiring lights display that is located within the center lagoon, making this centerpiece visible from 360-degrees around the park! The tallest of these displays towers 70 feet over the water, and can be seen at any point along the lagoon walk. The lights are synchronized to holiday classics.

And with Snow Flurries falling at the Waterfront, there’s no doubt you’ll feel right at home in a winter wonderland no matter the weather! (Hey, we take what we can get, here, right?)

Guests can also enjoy a bit of traditional holiday cheer with SeaWorld’s ice-skating; For an additional charge starting at 15.00 per person, guests can don skates and enjoy a public ice rink at the Bayside Stadium. Crew-length socks and gloves are required, and ice skates rental is included with admission to the rink, which is a good thing, since guests won’t be able to bring their own ice skates.

But if you’re not quite brave enough to slide on those skates yourself, you can catch Winter Wonderland on Ice, instead! This beautifully choreographed show lets you experience all the thrill and grace of ice skating with none of the injuries! No one wants a twisted ankle or a bruised bottom for Christmas, so if you prefer to experience your ice skating from afar, guests receive free reserves seating for this show with the purchase of O Wondrous Night seating upgrades!

Guests can also meet beloved Christmas characters like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at Rudolph’s Christmas Town, or Santa Clause at the Wild Arctic. For the little ones, holiday photos with Sesame Street Characters will be available throughout the day, and will be sure to delight kids of all ages (yes, even you!).

Santa is very busy this time of year, of course, so meet and greets with Mr. Claus himself won’t start until November 22nd! Since Santa’s coming all the way down here to meet us, that must mean that everything’s right on track for this big day! No Christmas miracle needed to make sure every toy gets delivered without a hitch!

There’s so much to do this year at SeaWorld Orlando – from old favorites to new traditions, families from all walks of life are welcomed to share in the Holiday Spirit. In addition to the Christmas festivities that are happening this year, SeaWorld has also announces special holiday offerings.

Come see the Menorah lighting at Sesame Street Land this year, every night from December 25th to January 2nd! Or, from December 26th to Januar 1st, come celebrate and reflect on African heritage with the nightly lighting of the Kinara for Kwanzaa!

And at the end of the year, SeaWorld’s New Year’s Eve Celebration will help 2024 go out with a bang! Beautiful fireworks, entertainment, and more will help you usher in the new year as SeaWorld helps us usher in 2025 mindful of our connections to the ocean and the life that blooms beneath its surface.

And last but not least, from January 4th to January 6th, let SeaWorld help lead the Three Kinds Celebration, a cherished tradition of Latin Cultures where families from across the world come to SeaWorld Orlando to commemorate the arrival of the three wise men. Festive cuisines and entertainment will be a part of this beautiful celebration that will help cap off the 2024 holiday season.

Snow or shine, it’s sure to be a happy holiday at SeaWorld Orlando!

Her favorite stories have always been about magic and far-off adventures, and growing up in Orlando, Florida allowed her to experience those adventures in real life. As an adult, she graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2023 with a degree in Literature while working in the Education Industry. Her inner child, however, still has a deep love for fairies, dragons, magic, and adventure. When not writing her next big adventure, she enjoys drawing, puzzle platformers, theme parks, and fast roller coasters.
