Disneyland Paris has officially set the return window for one of its most distinctive live entertainment offerings. In a post published Sunday, April 12, the resort said Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland will return to Disney Adventure World in spring 2027.
The official update frames the production as a comeback for the pop rock stage show, which Disneyland Paris described as a modern take on the Disney classic with an ultra-colorful pop rock twist. The new announcement does not give a specific opening day yet, but it does confirm the season and the park where the show will return.
What Disneyland Paris confirmed about the show’s return
Quick answer: Disneyland Paris said Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland will return in spring 2027 at Disney Adventure World. The resort called the show a one of a kind production and described it as a modern, ultra-colorful pop rock take on the Alice in Wonderland story.
According to Disneyland Paris, the returning version once again begins with Alice coming back to Wonderland after an invitation from the Mad Hatter. Disney said Alice expects a tea party, but the Queen of Hearts has also been invited, setting up another showdown between the two characters.
That storyline matters because Disneyland Paris is not just reviving the title. The resort is clearly positioning the show as a returning fan favorite with the same central faceoff that helped define the earlier run.
How the production is staged
Quick answer: Disneyland Paris said the show uses a 68-meter-long set with urban styling, animated film references, acrobatics and BMX action. The layout is designed so acrobats and riders can perform to the music across a stage environment that works like a skate park.
The official description says the set includes tracks and apparatus arranged to support both acrobats and BMX riders. Disneyland Paris also said the stage features urban tones and visual nods to the animated film, giving the show a look that is very different from a traditional castle-park musical.
The resort said some of the acrobats specialize in trampo-wall performance, while the BMX riders perform across nine ramps laid out in front of the stage. That combination is still one of the biggest reasons this show stands out from most other Disney entertainment offerings.
Who the performers represent in the story
Quick answer: Disneyland Paris said the acrobats represent the Mome Raths that guide Alice through Wonderland, while the BMX riders represent the Queen of Hearts’ card guards. That setup keeps the action tied directly to the story instead of feeling like stunts added on top.
Disneyland Paris also used the announcement to revive the show’s audience choice angle, asking whether viewers are Team Alice or Team Queen of Hearts. The post further noted that the show’s songs are already available on music streaming platforms while fans wait for the spring 2027 return.
The resort included its standard note that weather conditions or technical issues can still modify, postpone or cancel shows without notice. Even with that caveat, the main takeaway is clear: Disneyland Paris has now officially locked in the return of Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland for spring 2027.
