Universal Studios Hollywood will celebrate Independence Day on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026 with a 9:00 p.m. fireworks display, live performances, festive decor and limited-time CityWalk treats.
For guests, the main planning note is simple: this is a daytime park-admission event with a nighttime fireworks finish, so July 3 and 4 visits now have a clear evening anchor.

Dates and fireworks
The celebration runs Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal says the fireworks display is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. on both nights.
The press notice describes the display as new and elaborate, with the holiday event tied to America’s 250th anniversary. The festivities are included with theme park admission, rather than being listed as a separately ticketed event.
What is included
Universal lists live performances, themed decor and the fireworks display as part of the holiday offering. The park also says guests can hear a fife and drum band before the fireworks.
The event is built around a full day at the park, so guests can still use the visit for the regular lands, rides and attractions before shifting into the July 4 programming at night.
Universal did not announce a separate event ticket for the celebration. That makes the fireworks more of an add-on for guests already planning a park day than a standalone nighttime party.
CityWalk treats
Universal also says limited-time treats will be available at participating Universal CityWalk Hollywood locations during the celebration. The press notice did not list the full food lineup, so guests should check closer to the event for specific items and participating venues.
Because the treats are tied to CityWalk locations, the holiday plan may work for guests who want to build extra time into the evening before the 9:00 p.m. fireworks.
Planning note
Universal is positioning the July 3 and 4 celebration as part of regular theme park admission, with the fireworks scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Guests planning around the show should watch the official calendar, build in time for CityWalk treats and confirm park hours before choosing a ticket day.
The easiest approach is to treat the fireworks as the evening endpoint, then plan dinner, CityWalk time and the final ride window backward from the confirmed 9:00 p.m. showtime.
