Mega Movie Summer returns to Universal Studios Hollywood on Saturday, June 13, 2026 and runs daily through Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The event is included with general admission, so guests can find new movie-themed food, character moments, photo ops, merchandise, and Studio Tour additions during a regular park day.
Dates and ticket
Universal says Mega Movie Summer runs during normal theme park operating hours from June 13 through August 9. There is no separate event ticket or upcharge.
The 2026 version highlights Illumination’s Minions & Monsters, The Odyssey, the 25th anniversary of Fast & Furious, Wicked, and Wicked: For Good.
Fast & Furious food
The Fast & Furious anniversary gets one of the biggest food pushes. Hollywood and Dine becomes Drift & Dine with a Fried Elote Corn Dog, a Grill Master’s Burger, and a Quarter Mile Funnel Cake topped with Oreo crumbles, chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, chocolate whipped topping, and more Oreos.
Cocina Mexicana adds the La Familia Meal, a family-style platter with eight tacos, rice, beans, chips, guacamole, salsa, and four chocolate Oreo tire conchas. Universal also says guests can get close to picture cars used in the films and see a hip hop dance performance from the street racers.
Jaws and Minions
Mel’s Diner gets a Jaws menu with a Shark Bait Burger, a Lobster Roll, a Fish & Chicken Basket, Amity Island Funnel Cake, and a Lifesaver Swirl. Universal is also selling park-exclusive Jaws merchandise, including a Loungefly Crossbody Bag inspired by the film’s poster.
At Minion Cafe, the Minions & Monsters additions are James’ Carbarana, a cavatappi pasta dish with garlic cream sauce, pancetta, and peas, and Howard’s Berry Lemonade Cupcake, a pink vanilla cupcake with lemon curd, raspberry buttercream, strawberry crunch, and pink lemonade gummy tentacles.
The new Minions & Monsters character James and Henry will make their Universal Studios Hollywood debut, and the park will also host a Minion Dance Party. Merchandise includes a Minions & Monsters T-shirt, bucket hat, Goomi Shoulder Pal, and blind box figures.
Wicked and The Odyssey
The DreamWorks Theatre will host an Elphaba meet-and-greet tied to Wicked and Wicked: For Good. Universal also lists new Wicked: For Good plushes and two new Spirit Jerseys as part of the event merchandise lineup.
The World-Famous Studio Tour will add new clips featuring filmmakers from The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan’s Universal film coming to theaters July 17, 2026. Universal says the tour will also show a screen-used ship from the movie.
Dining pass
Universal is pairing the food lineup with a new Universal Studios Hollywood Dining Pass. The pass includes two eligible entrees and four eligible sides, snacks, desserts, or beverages. Guests can buy it online before a visit or in the park at participating locations.
If Mega Movie Summer is the main reason for a visit, start with the food or character moments that are most likely to build lines later in the day, then use the Studio Tour as the longer break between stops.
