For fans keeping up with Toy Story 5, the useful part is simple: Disney is pushing the full franchise on Disney+ while the new film is already in theaters.

The full Toy Story franchise has passed 2 billion hours streamed globally on Disney+, making it the service’s most-watched film franchise.
The first four Toy Story films also drove more than 60 million hours on Disney+ in the lead-up to Toy Story 5. Disney described that as the largest lift the service has seen for an upcoming theatrical release.

Disney+ has the complete Toy Story film series in one place, along with Toy Story Toons, shorts, and specials.
The current Disney+ push also includes a dedicated collection page, Toy Story: 30 Years and Beyond, the Toy Story 5 red carpet launch event, a 24-hour Pixar stream, and a special look at Toy Story 5.
Toy Story 5 tie-in
The streaming push is tied directly to the new theatrical release. Toy Story 5 is in theaters now, and Disney is using Disney+ to keep the older films, shorts, and specials visible for returning fans and younger viewers catching up.
The company also pointed to Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” music video as part of the Disney+ lineup around the film. The song became Disney’s first No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
What fans can watch
