Disney has shared a family’s first Walt Disney World trip during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, and the kids packed plenty into one weekend. Asher, 9, and Noah, 5, stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort before visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The visit began with complimentary Cool KIDS’ SUMMER drawstring bags at the resort. The family then used free water park admission available to Disney Resort hotel guests on check-in day for a trip to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.
Back at Pop Century, the children joined a summer pajama party in the lobby. Noah colored, Asher watched a classic Disney movie, and both met Mickey Mouse dressed in pajamas. Dinner at Everything Pop! included tie-dye cheesecake, which earned a 10-out-of-10 review from the family.
How did the family spend its first park days?
Their first park day started aboard the Disney Skyliner to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With Noah particularly interested in Star Wars, much of the day went to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Asher and Noah rode Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and tried its new adventure featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu. Both served as gunners during the interactive mission. Later, a cast member at Tatooine Traders helped them build custom lightsabers.

What worked for the kids at Animal Kingdom?
Disney’s Animal Kingdom gave the cousins a slower, activity-driven second day. They joined the free Wilderness Explorers program and collected more than 20 badge stickers each, though neither completed the entire book.
The family also experienced Kilimanjaro Safaris and Feathered Friends in Flight! before taking the train to Conservation Station. At Jumping Junction, they saw wallabies, kangaroos, and a joey inside its mother’s pouch. Asher also found his favorite animal, the gecko.
