Disney PhotoPass is adding a new way to bring vacation pictures home: personalized photo gifts through Shutterfly.

Guests can link the photos in their Disney PhotoPass gallery to a Shutterfly account, then store and select favorite images for personalized keepsakes. The new Disney Parks-inspired collections are available only at Shutterfly.com.
What can you make with your photos?
Disney lists photo books, home decor, ornaments, drinkware and other personalized gifts among the options. The idea is to pair your own photographs with Disney-themed products, giving those character greetings, attraction pictures and family portraits a place beyond the photo gallery.

The official PhotoPass page includes a “Get started with Shutterfly” link alongside the new gift section. That is the starting point Disney provides for connecting the photo gallery with a Shutterfly account and exploring the products.

How Disney PhotoPass works
PhotoPass photographers capture pictures at more than 175 locations across Walt Disney World. The service includes theme park photo spots, selected attractions, character experiences, indoor photo studios and special experiences such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and runDisney races.

Disney says PhotoPass photography itself is complimentary. No purchase is required to have a picture taken, but downloading photos requires a purchase. Guests can buy individual pictures or choose Memory Maker to download their vacation photos.

After a picture is taken, guests can link it to their MyDisney account using a MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile digital pass, admission card, annual pass or Disney PhotoPass card. PhotoPass cards are available from photographers.
Pictures can then be viewed in the My Disney Experience app or online. Most appear in the gallery within minutes, although Disney says to allow up to 24 hours for Magic Shots. A MagicBand or mobile device is needed to receive some attraction photos and videos.

Photo downloads and Memory Maker
Disney describes PhotoPass as the service that captures pictures and Memory Maker as the package that lets guests download them all. The full vacation package costs $185 or $210, depending on when it is purchased. Buying at least three days before the vacation saves $25.

Memory Maker One Day costs $85 for downloads from a single day. Guests comparing their photo options with the rest of a trip can also use the Disney World vacation budget breakdown and Disney World budget tips.
The new Shutterfly section gives guests another use for those vacation images: selecting favorites from the linked gallery and creating Disney-themed products to keep or give as gifts.
