Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begins November 13, 2026, and Disney is moving the start of the season up this year. The whole thing runs through January 6, 2027.
Disney calls it unwrapping holiday cheer “a little earlier this year,” and the season brings holiday décor, jolly entertainment, and festive food to the resort. Disney Festival of Holidays is part of it at Disney California Adventure Park.
What does the earlier start mean for a park visit?
It means a mid-November trip to Anaheim now catches the resort in holiday mode instead of just missing it. November 13 is the line. Land on or after it and you’re walking into decorated parks rather than planning a return trip in December.
November 13 to January 6 is a long stretch of holiday season by any measure, so “a little earlier” is doing some quiet work in that sentence.
Disney Festival of Holidays is the one specific event Disney named alongside the dates, and it’s the piece most fans plan their food budget around at Disney California Adventure. The rest of the season leans on the traditions the resort repeats every winter.
What Disney hasn’t announced yet
Entertainment lineups, menus, and the individual seasonal experiences haven’t been detailed. Disney says more holiday details are coming.
For now, the dates are the news, and they’re the part that actually changes travel plans. If you were penciling in a December trip to see the Disneyland Resort decorated, the window just got wider on the front end.
