Vee is heading back to Wilson Hall. Disney has released the trailer and poster for season two of “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire,” and the live-action series returns October 6 on Disney Channel. The full season streams the next day on Disney+.
Season two picks up right after Vee performed for the entire school with her idol, Millie Eyelash, watching. That same performance let loose a horde of monsters who had been imprisoned in the mirror realm. So yes, that one’s on Vee.
Now Vee and her gang are back at school with new musical dreams, and a prophecy hanging over them. It says Vee and Elijah can never be together.
Who joins the cast for season two?
Jodie Sweetin of “Full House” and Ava Jean of “Camp Rock 3” join the sophomore season as recurring guest stars. Hollywood Records artist Hudson Stone, from “Camp Rock 3” and “The Mickey Mouse Club” pilot, is set to guest star. Kim Coles of “Living Single” returns as Dean Merriweather.
Kenzi Richardson, of the “Aquamarine” TV pilot, stars as the edgy and adorable Vee. Jiwon Lee plays her kind, girly-girl roommate Sophie, and Shaun Dixon plays the intriguing, laid-back Elijah. Milo Maharlika plays Demi, a 600-year-old ghost, and Faith Hedley plays Britney, a super-talented legacy student.
Disney Channel gets the premiere first, and Disney+ gets the whole season a day later.
Who is behind Vampirina: Teenage Vampire?
Dan Cross and David Hoge serve as showrunners and executive producers, and they come from the team behind “Julie and the Phantoms.” Tim Federle, creator of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” is an executive producer. Bronwyn North-Reist also executive produces alongside Meg Deloatch, whose credits include “Family Reunion,” and Randi Barnes developed the series for television.
The show is a music-driven, live-action adaptation of the popular book saga and the record-breaking Disney Jr. series “Vampirina”. It follows a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. She’s living among humans for the first time, chasing her passion for music, and keeping her vampire identity secret.
