Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a runs-based racing video game, is out now worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its new launch trailer adds Crait as a place to race on the competitive repulsorcraft circuit.

The single-player story follows Shade, an up-and-coming racer with a personal grudge against the Bool family. Kestar Bool is the star of the Outer Rim’s Galactic League. He uses his position as League Champion to intimidate other pilots and extend his reach even further.

Crait brings the red salt flats from Star Wars: The Last Jedi into the game. Players racing across its surface should watch out for the vulptices.
Sebulba has a beard now.
The famed podracer from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace still has the same attitude. In the campaign, he shares his knowledge of the sport to help prepare Shade for Bool’s schemes. His support comes with a catch, though. Shade has to earn the Dug’s hard-won respect.
Where can you race in Star Wars: Galactic Racer?
Players can race on Crait plus the six previously announced planets:
- Jakku
- Sentinel I
- Lantaana
- Derven Acos
- Ando Prime
- Tatooine
- Crait
The earlier story trailer, released at Summer Game Fest, gave the first look at the Derven Acos arena in its single-player footage. It also showed multiplayer podracing action beyond the Mos Espa Circuit.
How does the Galactic Racer campaign work?
Campaign, Scenario, and Arcade are among the game’s modes. In the solo campaign, players pick their own path through the League, choosing between different events. Unique unlocks and new challenges show up as they progress.

Crash too many times and you’re out of the tour.
From there, players regroup, rebuild, and begin again. Certain perks and unlocks earned in previous attempts carry over to the next run. Each fresh tour brings new decisions and another chance to take down Bool.
In the trailer, Shade explores the paddock, where fellow racers gather to share stories, throw down challenges, and provide support. Shade also relies on Hibi, a skilled Ardennian mechanic.
Hibi runs her workshop out of each planet’s paddock. Players can talk to her to fit new parts, either earned through runs or bought from her. Each part comes with stat boosts and abilities that support your racing style before the next run.
