Asteria is a planned Storyliving by Disney residential community in Pittsboro, North Carolina. In its October 2026 update, Disney shared a $30,000 contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina.

The contribution supports academic success, wellbeing and workforce development programming. Those programs help young people access tools, experiences and support as they work toward their goals.
Storyliving by Disney joined a celebration honoring the organization’s 30th anniversary and the Pittsboro Club’s fifth anniversary. Families enjoyed activities and special treats during the gathering.
Mickey Mouse visited, too.
The celebration connects Asteria’s development with organizations serving Pittsboro and Chatham County. Storyliving by Disney says it plans to build more community connections as the residential project takes shape.
The community taking shape in Pittsboro
Asteria’s design draws inspiration from North Carolina’s natural beauty, with curiosity, connection and exploration guiding the planned community. Landscape, architecture and shared gathering spaces will encourage residents to spend time together.

Disney shared an entryway design on August 5, 2026, with creative guidance from Walt Disney Imagineering. It reflects the landscape and character of North Carolina’s Piedmont region.
The terrain rises beyond the entrance before gently falling, creating a gradual reveal. Builders will use stone sourced from the site, including metavolcanic rock, quartz and rhyolite.
The entryway will use the region’s dry-stacking tradition. A planned moon gate, an arched gateway, will frame the landscape beyond for residents and visitors passing through.
Disney introduced the Second Star Club on April 15, 2026. Walt Disney Imagineering is designing its gathering, creativity and wellness spaces.
Plans include morning yoga, opportunities to learn from Disney experts and tennis. A signature restaurant will provide a place to cheer on a home team.
Membership and development details
Asteria will require club membership, with dues and/or fees. Recorded covenants and additional terms will govern membership and amenity use, and benefits may vary by membership type.

Piedmont Proper and Lost Key Cottage will carry additional fees, limited availability and additional terms. Length-of-stay requirements may apply.
DMB Development is developing the community. Third-party builders will build and sell the homes; Disney isn’t the developer, builder or home seller.
Disney will brand and manage the community, but doesn’t guarantee that its management or branding will continue. Disney doesn’t guarantee third-party obligations or provide construction warranties for homes, infrastructure or recreational areas.
The proposed plans remain subject to change or cancellation. Amenities and activities will also depend on availability and capacity.
