Universal Orlando just published a fresh guide to every hotel pool across its resort hotels, and it doubles as a useful planning tool for anyone trying to decide where to stay before a 2026 vacation. Universal’s resort hotels are also adding summer sand sculptures and new guest perks this season.

The new post breaks down pool areas at Signature Collection, Prime Value, and Value resort hotels, with details on the features that separate each property. For travelers comparing Universal resorts, that matters because the hotel pool scene ranges from quiet lounge-style spaces to full family pool complexes with slides, splash pads, and lazy rivers.

At the top end of the lineup, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel offers three different pool experiences: the lively Beach Pool with a Roman aqueduct-inspired waterslide and sandy beach, the more private Villa Pool with upgraded lounge options and cabana rentals, and the quieter Hillside Pool tucked near the hotel’s east wing. Hard Rock Hotel Orlando continues to lean into its music identity with a 12,000-square-foot pool, an underwater sound system, a 260-foot slide, two hot tubs, and a sand beach. Over at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Universal highlights the resort’s large lagoon-style pool, white-sand beach, cabana rentals, and evening torch-lighting ceremony on select nights.

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort still stands out for sheer size. Universal says the hotel has the largest pool at Universal Orlando Resort, a 16,000-square-foot zero-entry pool surrounded by a sandy beach, cabanas, a waterslide, a children’s play area, and a fire pit. The newer Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which overlooks Epic Universe, adds a different draw with underwater speakers, a zero-entry pool, a terraced deck, and private cabanas for rent.

Universal’s Prime Value hotels also get a spotlight in the guide. Stella Nova Resort includes a 10,000-square-foot pool, splash pad, hot tub, and outdoor firepit, while Terra Luna Resort features a themed zero-entry pool, hot tub, poolside activities, and an outdoor firepit. Aventura Hotel remains one of the simpler options, with a modern pool deck, splash zone for kids, hot tub, and fire pit.

For families who want the most playful setup, Cabana Bay Beach Resort may be the biggest winner. Universal’s guide points to two separate pool areas there: the Cabana Courtyard pool with a dive tower-themed waterslide, splash pad, cabanas, and fire pit, and the Lazy River Courtyard, which includes a winding lazy river, sand beach, hot tubs, and views toward Volcano Bay. Endless Summer Surfside Inn and Suites keeps the theming going with a surfboard-shaped pool, while Dockside Inn and Suites offers two 11,000-square-foot pools.

One of the most useful details in Universal’s update is the reminder that most hotel pools come with their own food and drink options, plus amenities like towels, hot tubs, games, cabanas, and poolside bars or grills. Universal also notes that hotel guests can pool hop between Universal Orlando hotels, with the main exception being Endless Summer guests, who stay within their own resort.

For anyone picking a Universal Orlando hotel based on downtime as much as park access, this guide makes the differences pretty clear. Sapphire Falls remains the heavyweight for size, Cabana Bay looks strongest for families who want multiple water features, and Helios adds one of the more upscale new pool experiences now tied to Epic Universe.
