Anne-Lise returned to Disneyland Paris on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, 34 years after becoming the resort’s first child to have a wish granted there.
For guests, the update is a rare look at how Disneyland Paris’ wish program started in 1992 and how those visits continue to be handled by Cast Members.
The first wish
Anne-Lise was 9 years old when she visited Disneyland Paris through the resort’s new collaboration with Petits Princes, a French charity supporting seriously ill children.
Her 1992 wish included lighting the Christmas tree at Disneyland Park. Anne-Lise described that memory as “more than magical” and “incredible” in Disneyland Paris’ July 8 update.
The 2026 return
During her return visit, Anne-Lise had breakfast at Disney Newport Bay Club with around twenty Disney VoluntEARS. The volunteer Cast Members help support seriously ill children and their families during Disney Wish stays.
Anne-Lise thanked the volunteers directly and told them they help bring relief to families during difficult stretches. She also spent the rest of the day in the two Disney parks with her brother, who joined her first visit in 1992.
The Disney Wish program
Disneyland Paris has helped grant more than 25,000 wishes for children across Europe since Anne-Lise’s original visit.
In 2025, the Disney Wish team helped make 1,147 wishes come true with more than 45 European charities and foundations. Nearly twenty of those were Disney Wish stays, giving children and their families time at the resort away from daily medical challenges.
What it means
This is not a new ride or ticket update, but it does mark a milestone for one of Disneyland Paris’ longest-running community programs. Anne-Lise’s return connects the resort’s first wish visit with a program that now reaches families across Europe each year.
If you are visiting Disneyland Paris this summer, the story is also a reminder that some of the resort’s most important work happens outside the normal attraction and entertainment calendar.
