Disney shared the story of Lily and Jim, Make-A-Wish alumni who now work as cast members at Disneyland Resort, during Disney Week of Wishes on April 30, 2026.
The father-daughter duo now helps create Disney experiences after their own family wish trip aboard the Disney Dream in 2011.

Their Disney roles
Lily works as a Guest Talent Assistant with Disney Imagination Campus at Disneyland Resort. Jim, her father, works in Security Special Services.
Disney said both are Make-A-Wish alumni and now represent a full-circle version of the company’s wish-granting work.
The wish trip
Lily was diagnosed with a severe nervous system disorder when she was 5 years old, according to Disney Parks Blog. When she was 10, Make-A-Wish and Disney granted her wish with a Disney Dream sailing to The Bahamas.
Jim, a U.S. Army veteran with 23 years of service, was able to join the family on the ship after an 11-month deployment overseas in Iraq.

The Make-A-Wish connection
After her wish, Lily volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Oregon chapter as a Wish Ambassador. Jim also served as a wish granter, helping make dozens of wishes come true.
Disney said Lily is now working toward becoming a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire chapter.
Disney Week of Wishes
The story is part of Disney Week of Wishes, which celebrates Disney’s relationship with Make-A-Wish. Disney says more than 175,000 Disney wishes have been granted worldwide over more than 45 years.
Lily and Jim also joined the Wishes Assemble event hosted by Disney, Make-A-Wish, and MrBeast, which celebrated nearly 40 Make-A-Wish kids and their families on World Wish Day.
