Disney Cruise Line is bringing its Very Merrytime Cruises back for the 2026 holiday season, complete with towering Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, deck parties, and Disney characters dressed for the occasion. Select sailings begin in November and continue through the end of the year.

The seasonal cruises depart from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Galveston, Texas; and San Diego, California. Disney has not listed specific sailing dates or prices in this announcement, so travelers will need to check available itineraries before choosing a departure.
The ships receive a stern-to-bow holiday transformation. Atriums and Grand Halls feature Christmas trees and festive decorations, while specialty snacks, food, and drinks appear throughout each voyage. Guests can also expect the usual rotational dining, Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre, pool-deck activities, hot chocolate, and soft-serve ice cream.

What happens during a Very Merrytime Cruise?
Mickey & Minnie’s Merrytime Tree Lighting gathers Mickey Mouse and his friends around the ship’s holiday tree for a traditional lighting celebration. Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party moves the festivities to the upper decks with music and a celebration centered on friendship, love, and family.
Santa is onboard, too.
Families can join holiday-themed activities and crafts during the sailing, while exclusive Disney Cruise Line holiday merchandise provides another way to mark the trip. The announcement does not identify individual products or prices.
One detail feels unmistakably Disney Cruise Line: the celebration can follow guests ashore. Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point receive tropical Christmas trees, decorations, and holiday music for participating itineraries visiting those island destinations.

How should guests prepare for the holiday sailings?
Disney recommends becoming familiar with the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before boarding. The app helps guests find scheduled entertainment and activities during the voyage, along with additional services such as recreation and the spa.
Pack the pajamas.
Matching holiday outfits can work for family photos around the decorated ship, including pictures near the atrium or Grand Hall Christmas tree. Hot cocoa and quieter seating areas provide a slower way to enjoy the decorations between scheduled events.
If you’re considering a 2026 sailing, start by narrowing the departure port and checking dates between November and December. Then compare the available itineraries, especially if seeing the tropical decorations at one of Disney’s island destinations matters to your group. TPS will track Disney Cruise Line news and planning updates as more trip details are released.
What has not been announced?
This announcement does not provide individual departure dates, voyage lengths, fares, or a complete list of participating itineraries. It also does not specify which holiday merchandise, specialty food, or drinks will appear on each ship.
For now, the confirmed window runs from November through the end of 2026, with select sailings departing from the four named ports.
